I have both primary and secondary. I love both but if I had to pick only one set, I’d say the secondaries win out. Nice pick up.
Concur. I love the purple colors of the secondary set. Even the $1 Secondary 1a chips that I am going to use as $.25 fracs.

I prefer the primary by a mile....

I have a strong feeling about faux shaped inlays (never, never, never)....and the fivers, 25 & hundo's blend in much better in mixed sets imho.
That sec $5 is a great chip but also 'loud' with big arc spots....but the $25 is awsome.

Pri $500 is my favourite chip of the rack...

Of anyone else is looking to split a secondary set let me know. I’m looking for the secondary $25s and at least one rack of the secondary $1s

My chips just arrived and they look great!

I know I heard a lot about the $1a's being warped, but it seems like all barrels of the secondary set I ordered have several warped chips.
I am still new to chipping and buying brand new chips in general.
Is this normal and expected? Is this still considered mint condition?

Here is an example from the secondary 5's

This is my first Chiproom score also. I wasn't sure what to expect.

I've got many warped $5s. 21/220

I also received 605 $1s, and not 1 of them is warped. Lol

No other warping. Just secondary $5s.

I'm not wanting to "flatten" them. I'll separate them and they won't see play.

I wouldn’t be happy and consider warped chips to be defect. I haven’t bought new casino chips though and don’t know if this is to be expected

Personally, I figured it was part of the buying. I know these chips can warp in the right conditions. As an example, out of the 1200+ Aurora Star hotstamps I've purchased, seemingly minty, I've got about 20 or so warped chips.

Important to note, I had a $25P damaged on arrival, on my recent HSI order, and Jim replaced it, no questions asked. So perhaps if I had mentioned the warping, there is help available.

I just don't know the proper etiquette for this type of stuff as I am still very new to all this. I didn't want to reach out to Jim if this is something that was normal and expected. I also don't know how appropriate it is to be unhappy with this.
I was wondering what the normal protocol was. I also don't know what the acceptable level of warping is. For example, many of the chips are very warped as seen in my pic, but most others are only slightly warped. I would say less than 15% of the barrels I received are totally flat. (I ordered a bunch of chips)

Maybe I can try to pick out the warped ones and try to flatten them? Am I being overly nitty?
I just have no idea :confused

I'll go through all of mine and pick out the worst ones, but upon initial inspection almost none of the barrels are sitting flat with no wobbles.
I'll try the stacking method, but I don't think I can stack as high as @Jeevansluck though, waaayy too wobbly.

I picked up some ceramic blanks from BRPro as well in case I need to do some clamp flattening.
Other than the warped chips, they all look great and have sharp edges! Very beautiful :)

Thanks all!
