I have cash and various trade bait (all of my sets on the table) if it can unearth a couple of barrels of this seemingly unobtainable chip. Not interested in singles.

Here is my two cents.

When i was putting my WSOP sample together, the 500 and 5K were not impossible to find.
They actaully came up the most but were the middle expensive chip. The 1 and 1K were NEVER
for sale.

It took me about 5 years or more of on and off eBay trolling and finally tracked down the 1 and 1000
Those were NEVER for sale.
So, my feeling is that the 500 and 5K were taken out of the vault earlier and dolled out while
they were selling singles here and there because they had the least of themand I think they gave some
to friends. I wish I remember
who I dealt with but when I fianlly find a 1 and 1K it seemed like they were in with someone.

The opinion here is that they probably only had 3 racks of the 500 / 5k/ T1. I think maybe 5
racks tops. But thats 300 or less single samples. I think they alredy dolled them out 10+ years
ago and kept the 1K chips under lock and key with the whole huge set for some reason.

I dug out my chip book the other day if you wanna see something wild. They booked the WSOP
chips at next to nothing and the 50C dovetails were as high as almost 1K. I really think the 50C
dovetails were kept locked up and they got them at the end of lifecycle and didnt use them.

I have a feeling they were almost all sold 2 or 1 at a time the past few years and I found the
bulk of them together. It may be a total pipe dream finding 60 more but I think there are more
in their vault. They had to have made MANY of the 50c chip. Like the dunes tan dimes are
out at 9 - 12 dollars each so a few thousand at least are out there.

If these were available in mass you could make a VERY close replica of a T500 for peoples WSOP sets.
You could murder these with some labels and it would be nearly the same :)

I would struggle with those because the T100s have two colors and going back to 1 would drive me crazy.

The originals YES, BUT if all the chips in your set were this..... No one would be the wiser
Crazier substitutions have been done here
I gotcha...it is just the chip progression. 5s and 25s are single 8v color, 100s go to two, going back to single for 500s would be back-stepping...just me though.

ahhhhhhhh, ok yah if you are OCD and I am, yes.... true :p
So I know they dont match at all, but beggers cant be choosers and I think these 5K and 500s are GONE like singled out over the past 10 years.
Why not use the H&C 500 Binion buyin chip. Totally wrong everything, but its Binion and original paulson.
Id be willing to bet that guy who got all these WSOP chips probably knows where those are they go for like $2 each
