Biggest chipset per casino, owned by PCF'ers

Resource Biggest chipset per casino, owned by PCF'ers (3 Viewers)

OK. Cool. Thanks @ovo I have 600 total chips and 7 plaques.

Chip Breakdown:

.10 x 100
.25 x 90
.50 x 70
1.00 x 200
5.00 x 140

I've been told that I may have the largest number of the 25 cent chips in existence. Not sure if that's true, but if anyone has any more, I'm a micro stakes player and I would love to add at least 30 more to what I have. This is currently my favorite cash set and is my first choice to use whenever I have a home game.

I also have some additional LGK chips on their way to me. I'm going to relabel them as $20 and $100 Dragonaras. And I'm on the lookout for an appropriate LGK chip for a nickel. Dime/quarter blinds is a touch awkward but it can be done.

{} signify 2nd largest, there can be all kinds of entries , LGK, cic, mix, just tell me what you got and I'll put it in if it works, most people don't post pics, but I guess there is a way to link to pics, but I'm not going to hunt them down, this was an old resource on chiptalk that was brought to life here.
What about the Borland chips? Is there a spot for them in the list that I just missed? I think they would be considered a Fantasy chip. Definitely not a real casino chip. Made by ASM on the Nevada mold.

I don't recall my exact count but I can update you with that info I think it's around 560.

I'm sure. I could have bought a lot more, but this set fits my needs very well. I didn't even know this thread existed until today and only posted because it seemed no one else on the list had more of this format. (not the cic) I will happily yield to you as it looked like in your post in the Dragonara thread that you might have nearly filled that birdcage.

I know it doesn't count in the totals, but I also have these on the way. I'm going to get labels from Gear and make one of these a £20 for sure and maybe the other one £50 or £100.

LGK chips to make into Dragonara $20s.jpg

I also looked at lgk to make higher denoms, those are pretty sweet. Monte carlo and North shore tahoe were the other options I looked at.

Anyone know who made the LGK dragonara and borland dunes (asm?)

I know for sure that ASM made Borland's chips in the 1990s. The Dragonaras were made in the 1970s. According to THIS SOURCE B.C. Wills & Co made the MD-88 LGK from the 60s to the 80s, so that would be my assumption.

@ovo In the photos from my previous post I have 569 Borland chips. In addition to those, I also have 2 complete sample sets which include my only examples of the $1000 and $5000 chips. So in total I have 583 Borland Dunes chips.

BC Wills & Co, production cards at the bottom of the page.

Thank you! I've been on that page dozens of times but had never scrolled all the way to the bottom. Some neat pics of the outside of the casino down there too.

So the oldest card there is from 1971. Any way of knowing if there were orders before that? Top of the page indicates that the casino opened in 1964. What would they have used before 1971? Plus 9500 chips doesn't seem like enough to open a casino anyway, does it?

Although there isn’t one listed, I have a hard time believing this is the biggest set of these. But maybe? They’re not very glamorous and they’ve been available forever, so maybe nobody ever felt the need to build a big set?
So, I submit for your approval:

CRYSTAL PALACE GAMBLING HALL
Laughlin, Nevada

.25 x 163
$1 x 212
$5 x 322
$25 x 100

Total 797

@Justin Olson may be the only one to challenge from my memory.

Cool set! I think there may be a lot of people who don't know this exists. I didn't for almost 2 years on this forum until a few weeks ago.

It is until someone declares bullshit

Haha
I do have more quarters than that, but that is all I have. Some of the smoothest shuffling chips ever. Beautiful set @upNdown
Thanks. And yes, I’ve been saying for years that when they say chips shuffle like butter, they’re talking about crystal palace quarters.

Funny thing. They’ve had those chips for sale forever. I got 80 of the fracs back in 2020 for $3 apiece, and I think somebody here bought the last of what they had, shortly thereafter.
I was using the fracs for mixed sets, and I’d never really considered a full crystal palace set. But less than a year ago, when prices were getting REALLY stupid (so much so that I’d sold off my leaded THCs and kind of given up on owning any because I couldn’t justify the price) I noticed that Spinettis still had 300 piece sets of crystal palace chips, and they hadn’t raised their prices on them. So in May 2021, I bought a set of 300 (100 $1, 150 $5, 50 $25) for $299. Crazy. They do still have one of those sets in stock, but they’ve raised the price to $500 - if anybody wants to buy it just for the gorgeous $25s, hit me up and I’ll take the $5s off your hands.
I’ve since added on more and more of these, from other members, for pretty low prices. It’s a good lesson in not giving up. Yeah, mint leaded THCs started selling for stupid prices. But I was able to find these leaded THCs that nobody really wanted, for 2015 prices.

i like these chips but the breakdown doesnt work for me. the $5s remind me of the south point casino but the $25s are the star of the show.
