Tourney Betting pot with ante in play (2 Viewers)

When betting pot in a tournament with a big blind ante in play, is the ante counted to determine the pot sized bet? Is there a standard rule, or do different poker rooms have different rules for this?

iirc you don't include the ante in preflop pot calculations, however, after the flop, you would.

I'm not an avid tourney player, so I could be wrong.

Machine is correct as far as the WSOP and Wynn series are concerned. I struggled to find any other structures in just a couple minutes.

The reason I asked this question is because at my game we don't count it (preflop) but one of my players is playing at the Wsop and he said they are counting it. Maybe just a dealer making a mistake?

Dealers are known to make a lot of mistakes. But this one is pretty cut and dry. Someone at the table should know this rule.
