On another note, is it problematic to slap labels over hot stamps? I have been thinking that some hot stamped Paulson Roulette solids could work for frac chips. Also, what's my best bet for tracking down some primary HSI T100s? They seem to be in pretty high demand.

Labels don’t work on hotstamps. Must be milled first.

Thanks for the tip @Colquhoun. I might just leave them as is in that case and just tell players the denomination. It sounds like potentially a lot of time/effort/cost to send them off just to be milled for labels.

The best way to get started is with samples. Even within just the Paulsons, there are a few different molds, and leaded vs. non-leaded, etc.

Second this, just to see what your preferences are and what you're willing to pay. If you don't know how they feel and handle, you don't want to buy a set and wonder if you should got them or another.

It's like poker, you gotta feel the table first to see where you're at. You don't want to force a decision. Best to make an informed decision. There are plenty of chips to go around.
Sometimes it takes days or months for me to decide or maybe your taste/mind changes about how you feel about your chips.

That's an amazing deal though, thanks for the recommendation. I'm just looking for a barrel or two of some nicely styled 100s to finish off the set. I want HSI primary 100s but they're surprisingly hard to find. I'm not a huge fan of the hot pink on Jack's Cincinnati 100s but they appear to be the most reasonable/available 100s right now. I'm waiting to see what Jim will drop in the next Chip Room sale, hopefully they'll have a color scheme that is harmonious with my HSI set.

My set is well on its way! @The Nuts hooked me up with the 400 HSI chips tonight right before he and his friends schooled me in poker for another $100, it was a great night The Seven Mile 1s will be my fracs (gear labels coming) and I was originally planning on using the Jack Cincy 500s as my 500s for this set, but I am thinking the color scheme is not quite right so I'll probably try to swap those for HSI secondary 500s. I'm super excited to finally have a playable set of Paulson chips!

I also met up with @liftapint today and purchased the PCF table topper. It's pretty amazing, I love the feel of it. Thanks again lifta!

Yeah that's the next rabbit hole @wolfpack . It turns out that my dining room table is just a bit smaller than I'd like it to be for the topper (the topper goes off the left/right edges by a couple of inches) so I'm looking into options now. I need to do some searching around on the forum to find discussions on the topic... I have no idea where to even start.

Facebook marketplace has been my local source. I have 5 tables, 2 folding tourney, 1 nice racetrack tourney along with 1 nice and 1 well worn cash tables.

All but one folding table were from marketplace and the tables were either free or under 200

I ordered these Horseheads from Classic Poker Chips back in 2008 or so- around 550 of them for my cash game set. They would still currently be within your budget. You can send them your artwork and they can put denominations on. Mine are $1, $2, $5, and $10. I ordered the 600 Paulson Classics for my tournament set (5-25-100-500-1000) from Discount Casino Gear back in 2006 for 94 cents a chip. Each has enough for 10 stacks plus chip-ups. You will probably have a hard time getting a complete set of these and will have a pay around $3.50 per chip now as they don't make home sets anymore. I ordered the Hourglass Pirate Flag chips from Classic Poker Chips back in 2014 (can be either tournament or cash as they have no denominations). They were a little cheaper per chip b/c no edge spots.

When I have home tournaments (which isn't very often anymore-sadly) I use my Chipcos. They are very rough and tumble as they are ceramic. Different feel but very durable chips. Around 400 here- enough for a 9 handed tournament.
