I am considering replacing the red fabric i have on my table to something more slick for passing out cards just want something better for cards and feel. Is speed cloth the best or is there something better out there. Does anyone recommend a good place to buy from?

chanman does excellent custom clothes
I heard he also does custom cloths ;) Will need to check out his other merch!

I re-felted my old table a couple of times, info in this thread:

Supplies bought from here:
https://www.casinosupply.com/

Couple of thoughts -

1. If you go speed cloth, get the ‘real’ speedcloth, @upNdown mentioned in the other post there are cheap chinese knock offs out there widely available. Speed cloth doesn’t necessarily ‘feel’ the best, but cards fly like on an air hockey table. It takes some adjusting, I think I prefer cloth/felt tbh.
2. For custom table cloths, send a DM to @T_Chan
if interested after checking out the below (his stuff is typically viewed as one of the best premium options):

Recommend you check the volara closed cell foam at casino supply if your foam needs replaced as well.

Speed cloth is often perceived as a premium upgrade, but in reality it’s more of an entry-level performance material.

Yes, when it’s brand new it feels extremely slick—almost like an air-hockey table—but that glide is short-lived. Oils from hands, dust, and normal play wear it down fairly quickly, which is why you don’t see speed cloth used in casinos or high-volume card rooms.

If your game runs once a month or just occasionally, speed cloth can be perfectly fine. But if you play regularly, you’ll likely want something closer to a true casino-grade felt. Those materials are designed for consistent glide, higher thread count, better durability, and they age much more gracefully over time.

We actually manufacture custom poker felts ourselves and source our raw materials directly from felt mills. A lot of our business comes from casinos for exactly that reason—smooth but controlled glide, very durable surface, and high-quality graphics that hold up long-term. Happy to help or answer questions if you want to go that route, but regardless, I’d recommend looking beyond basic speed cloth if feel and longevity matter to you.
