Best home game rule (1 Viewer)

Haven’t got a chance to put this in action but one day I will…

Every player gets one “shut up” chip. When a song comes on that you like you can play your one shut up.

The rule is everyone has to be quiet during the entire song. First person to speak pays $5 to every player or something.

No pooping.

This isn’t daycare. I mean, who out of the blue needs to take a dump.

Know thyself.
I once made a player go upstairs and use the main b-room. At the time the table was close to the basement bathroom.

Ain’t nobody trying to hear any of that. Bad enough if you can hear people pee.

We moved the table

We used to play in the house and this was a bigger issue. Since the club doubled in size, we primarily play outside now.

I have a pop-up camping changing tent and put a camping toilet in there. First thing I tell any new players is 'don't shit in the camping toilet'.

Nobody poops at my games anymore. I guess they take care of that business elsewhere. Something I no longer need to worry about.

I’ve ordered one of these to hang in my poker bathroom.

"Do what's right for the game"

The rule you put into play might not be in the TDA rule-set or even Robert's Rules, but if it works for your game and your players, let it play*.

* if everyone knows this is not standard or universal, it works better as well. The rules tweaks in my game are tiny and not terribly far off of 'normal' casino rules, but everyone knows they are non-standard and not to expect them elsewhere. **

** It's been long enough that I've been able to run my own game with my regular player pool, even I have forgotten what those alterations were, and maybe for the best.

A player must show their hand to request a rabbit hunt card. The giving of a player’s information really cuts down on requests.

A close second is all cash outs are rounded down to the nearest $5 and all players are in a flip for the leftovers OR the leftovers go to the house/banker.
