I don't link my bank so I pay 3% when I pay friends and family. If you get them free there is no extra fee. Sorry.

If you pay out of a bank or a PayPal balance (via FF), there is no fee. If you pay via a credit card, even if it's FF, then there's a fee.

To send money by FF it must come from a bank account. If you want to use a CC then it can't be FF and would need to add 3%.

If buying anything on EBay I always want to use my CC even with it being PayPal for the added protection and I want the rewards from my card. PP is charging the selling the same either way so I might as well get my cash back bonus instead of PP making some extra money.
