Those are indeed somewhat rare chips, but the price is (obviously) totally ridiculous.

I figured out what she did. I'm talking to her now. She went on eBay and saw that the $5 chip was selling for $10, and assumed the price had to do with the face value. So, she extrapolated the value of the $1000 to $2000 instead.
