I've been mulling a Havana, Cuba design on the H-mold, but I recently picked up a bunch of blue and red A-mold chips (300 each). So pivoting the design to a different town in Cuba. Help me improve label design and figure out my color scheme!

I only have reds and blues now, but can pick up some other colors. I don't like the browns. I do like the whites, but not sure I need them. I love the purples and blacks, but very few available to me. Here is what I can get my hands on today:
  • 3 racks of whites
  • 1 rack of brown
  • 160 greens
  • 60 butterscotch
  • a barrel of purple
  • a barrel of black
  • multiple racks of blue (not sure they are perfect color match) if I wanted to add limit option to this set
I have a line on some H-molds and considering mixing the two molds...anyone done this? I have Key West and Atlantic samples and I kind of feel like they could work together. By the way, if anyone has inlaid A-molds that would work with this that you don't want, let me know.

(sorry for the mix of currencies, I was experimenting - I am leaning toward 10c/50c + euros).

Couldn’t the H mold be Helena lol!

Ahhh disregard thought it was Artemis lol.

H mold for Havana??!! ;)

This mold was used for Wilbur Clark's casino in the Hotel Nacional de Cuba and the Habana Hilton's casino (and maybe more?) back in the heydays. Here's my tribute set for the Nacional:

Having a theme that aligns with the letter on the mold is a huge plus IMO. My recommendation would be to go with what is more meaningful to you personally. That being said, it sounds like you're doing a reliable set so Artemisa could be an intern set if Havana is more of your thing.

Mixing molds is a bad idea. Different diameters mean they stack differently; I mixed B and LCrown and it was jarring- I dumped the Bs right away and shifted to 100% LCrown.

Yep, H for Havana. That was my original intent.

I have a connection to both cities. Artemisa is a bit more unique. Had not thought of it till the A chip deals started popping up...I am falling in love with the idea for my house cash set.

Thanks. I think I already knew this, but just had an emotional commitment to the H mold. But A is lovely too!

I wouldn't miss them. I briefly tried this awhile back. I hated it. Different molds feel different, sound different, ect... If it works for you, fuck it. Rock n roll
