I messaged Tina on Alibaba and she mentioned Justin on this forum does monthly group buys for Aria Tina Chips? Is that’s still happening?

Yes I can’t see that post when’s the deadline?

The April one closed at the beginning of this month:

He hasn't posted the next one yet, as he's focused on the new Tangier's group buy, which closes at the end of this month:

I think you just have to make a few more posts to be able to see the sections you can't see right now:

But don't artifically pad your post count. If you're interested in the Tangier's group buy you should have plenty of time to get your count up in the next two weeks. If you're interested in other group buys, they'll happen after that so you have even more time.

I see that one. But how do I get the Aria design?

Do you prefer 39 or 43mm? Weird tina said he still can order them

I see a few group buys from him but can’t see aria one

I think he just can't find a GB thread for those chips. There are no restrictions for viewing or replying to vendor threads in the Vendor forums, or threads in the Group buy section.

What is the typical mold now a days folks go for with Tinas? Is it card mold?

why are the hybrids more popular( whats the difference) than regular tinas card mold ? noob asking:rolleyes:

Cards mold were cool when they were the only popular mold on ceramics (there were others like the diamond mold that you could get your custom designs on, and some other molds on ceramics that were exclusive to certain designs).

But cards mold do seem a bit dated these days, sometimes there's a little discoloration in the recesses. The newer Greek and web molds just look nicer, more refined, and mimic clay chip molds. Plus the chips have a mild grid texture like a compression molded clay chip.

Also, while the dye sub printing can get pretty detailed, they still won't be as sharp as a printed label that go in the recess of a hybrid chip, so a lot of people like that aspect too.

As @TheOffalo said, the hybrids are really, really, nice chips. But the cards mold chips (of which I have a set of 800) are perfectly functional for a home game if that's what you have the budget for. People have said they develop spinners but I've yet to see that on my set or the barrel of 20 that I've been shuffling at my desk for over a year enough to start seeing the printing beginning to fade. They still stack fine.

I also have a set of 800 Mirage web mold hybrids which I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on if the rowboat they're on would ever get here.
