Apache Royals - Overlabel or Murder? (5 Viewers)

I'm in the process of upgrading my cash set and am planning on getting the Royals, however, for various reasaons I want to have a $20 chip rather than a $25, and am planning on ordering custom labels for the green chip. If anyone has done this before on the Royals, is it recommended to murder the chips and apply a new label, or can I get away with overlabeling?

Apache Royals have a sticker, not permanent inlay, which is very easy to remove. Would never overlabel them.

Get a small knife and pop off the sticker then apply whatever new one you want.

I would also recommend checking if anyone in the forum is selling blank green chips, there have definitely been some blank royals of various colors available recently.

Blank Royals are the way to go, but if you are going to remove the label, it is ridiculously easy. This video shows the process (not a Royal, but the difficulty is the same).

You can find blanks being sold by others. I bought blank whites (the flags). Although they don't sell the 5c labels anymore, so I'd need to have them made and it's a bit pricier than I was banking on.

Not sure if the recess is deep enough to allow overlabel without creating spinners. But label replacement gives the best results, anyway.

Do not over label these chips. You can unlabel a rack in 20 minutes.

They do come out with an exacto knife, I know I am late to the party, if peeled off correctly they leave little residue since they are not pure paper stickers
