I have a set of near mint condition (used 3 times) Taj Mahal ceramics from Apache Poker Chips. I am not really sure what I can get for it… I paid $600 for 1000 chips, looking to get within $200 of my purchase in terms of value. Looking for any nice THC or RHC fracs, racks of IG $5 GO, or no GO. Also would be willing to trade for some Jumer Secondary $1 chips. Honestly open to a lot of trades, very new to Paulson chips, trying to build a nice set I can rely on for a cash game. Feel free to shoot dms or ask any questions, I will entertain
everything!
Breakdown:
x300 $1
x300 $5
x100 $20
x50 $100
x25 $500
x25 $1000
x200 .25c

I know you are looking to trade. Would you consider selling instead?

Did you purchase these through Apache? These look like Cards mold chips through Tina and I wasn't aware that they sold these. I wonder if they have permission to use whoever created the art?
Yes I did, really not sure about the art… maybe it’s dissimilar enough? I know of the Taj Mahal set but haven’t really looked at it.

Top are from Justin, bottom are from Apache.

If you notice the POKER is larger and clearer on the top set and the edge spots are a little different.

Those look like cards mold to me and Tina probably "modified" the original design slightly so it wasn't a complete copy. I'm with Justin on this one.
Unless @Apache wants to chime in and state otherwise

And I should say Tina, or whomever originally purchased the chips could have "modified" the design slightly

So, I definitely see how POKER is larger on the top. I wouldn't consider this a significant difference in the "art," but OK. My opinion is that someone did that just so it can't be billed as an exact copy. I don't see a noticeable difference in the edge spots and if you see something I don't, I feel like it can be written off as changes in the printing process (or however they do it).

It's 100% cards mold and at best, they borrowed the original designs and made a slight modification as a technicality.

I'm just saying they are different chips. And the difference between both sets and the amount of spinners makes me think it's a different blank, also.

I'm not arguing that they are different chips and whether or not each order used different blanks. I'm saying it's very clear that the artwork was reused.

I'm really not into internet pissing matches, so this will be my last post. My entire point of the picture was to show that you may be getting different artwork if you order from different supplies.

FFS.

You must work for the Chip Guide.
