Anyone own Modiano Club Bridge Jumbo Index? (1 Viewer)

Here's a shot of mine that should give you an idea of relative index sizes. From left to right we have:

  1. Bicycle/Fournier Prestige (Standard Index)
  2. Modiano Poker Club, Large Index/Bridge Size
  3. Modiano Poker Club, Large Index/Poker Size
  4. Desjgn Classic Victorian

Thank you.

Interesting that the Platinum Acetate Jumbo index doesn't equal the Club jumbo index.

I have a crapload of Modianos. I will endeavour to locate the appropriate examples and post a comparison picture for you.

I LOVE the large index. I'm not such a huge fan of jumbo index cards. They are just the right size in my opinion.

Here you go.

Modiano seems to vary the size of their "large" index, based on whether it is narrow or wide size. Also, the font type seems to go from "regular" to "bold" on the wide cards.

Once you go bridge, you never go back.

I can attest to that :) I can't play with my Platinum Acetates because of it :( Love the security ink though, all cards should have it.

I LOVE the large index. I'm not such a huge fan of jumbo index cards. They are just the right size in my opinion.

They do look like a good size, not too big but easier to see. I'll have to get my self some for Christmas.

And thank you Milo013, I take it that Modianos are you favorite cards?

A lot of my players have trouble shuffling my cards. I've always attributed it to the plastic but maybe it's more so because they're unaccustomed to poker sized cards? I've gotten complaints about the "cheap plastic" (one player said "I could bring my good Bicycles") but never the size, but I wonder if they just don't cognitively recognize the size difference and thus don't bring it up.

I can use either type, with no real preference. The wide cards fit my humungous hands a little easier, but bridge forces me to shuffle and deal more like a casino dealer would, so that's a wash as well.

And yes, gf10, I am a TOTAL Modiano shill. I have about 15-20 set-ups. I do try to be objective in comparison posts though, but the Platinum Acetates are simply superior to everything else out there right now. That said, Fourniers are almost to the point of being #1b, rather than the clear #2 in my eyes.

I need to get a Fournier setup. I like the Bicycle Prestige cards and for some reason my players do to. Shuffle real nice. Wish I got more setups. Got two and lost one at school and the other one's starting to fade. Can't seem to find any regular index two-pip bridge Fourniers (which is what I would prefer though maybe I could get used to the four-pip) on eBay or elsewhere.

I have a set of 2012 and 2013 WSOP cards which I believe are on Fournier stock and [/b]I do not like them at all.[/b] I just can't seem to shuffle them easily at all and they're real slippery. Does anyone else feel that way about those cards? Are those cards like "regular" Fournier bridge cards? Or am I mistaken and the 2012/2013 WSOP cards are not on Fournier stock? They feel nothing like my Bicycle Prestige cards so I was real shocked.

Any one have any of these? Are they like these "Walgreen's" Bicycle Prestige cards? Are they like "regular" Fournier bridge cards?

I was looking at getting some of these but I hadn't realised that they had this intermediate size for faces. They look more 'large regular' than 'jumbo' to me.

New players in our league tend to have shuffling issues with the Prestige (or Copags, or Modianos, or Kems, depending on the host), and there's invariably a "these cards are so slippery" comment at some point. But they eventually get used to it.

I have the poker sized version of these. If the bridge size are like the poker sized ones, they are very similar, but are more square. See this post for my review of them. I also have a review of the Fournier "Congress" cards (bridge size/jumbo index) here. In my opinion, they are very similar to the Prestige...perhaps not quite as "gritty".

(Note: I am a Fournier addict. I have Modiano Platinum Acetates, but if I was forced to sell my setups, the Modianos would be sold before the Fourniers. Just my preference.)

I'm a little disappointed to read that about the 2013 WSOP cards. I was about to pull the trigger on a setup...may do it anyways. I wonder if they were made that way to be closer to the KEM cards that they replaced.

CBL . . . I would say get the 2013 WSOPs. As a Fournier fan myself, I found the '13s to have more texture than the '11s. Not as textured as the 2808 Fourniers, but not nearly as slick as the other WSOP years that I own, either. I quite liked them and, when they inevitably drop in price for clear-out, they will be a hell of a deal and I plan on getting more.

They ARE more flexible than the Prestige's, but I have always found bridge to be more "bendy" than wide, anyway. Buy a set-up of the WSOP 13's and, if you hate them, I'll take them off your hands at cost.

FWIW I love Modiano. I use both Poker and Bridge size for flop games, but the Bridge size is a must for Stud games at my table.

Any love for the Cristallos here? My favorite for the price hand down.

Cristallos are a nice card, but if you are going to buy them, you may as well go all out and get the Platinum Acetates.

Anyone have a picture comparison of the index size difference between the Modiano Poker Club, Bridge/Jumbo Index and the Faded Spade 2.0 Bridge (Narrow)?

Thanks and great thread.
