can someone explain these to me, they arent CIC but they have an aluminum inlay pressed into the chip??

Yes, its a metal inlay pressed into the chip, though not sure how they attach it. I call it a Metal Center (MC), but not sure what the official name is. CIC refers to a Coin Inlay, though many people call it that.

Paulson made these MI ( metal inlay ) type chips mostly in the 1970’s . Many are dated on the aluminum center . For example - the Garden City
BMI ( Brass Metal Inlay ) chips - so called because the color is anodized brass - have “ 876 “ on the metal inlay which stands for August 1976 .

Anodized aluminum centers - explanation :
Aluminum alloys are anodized to increase
corrosion resistance and to allow dyeing ( coloring ) . There is a chart for anodized aluminum colors .

Red - Black - Blue - Silver - Brass
