A few months ago I set out to see what I could do about upgrading my chairs. For the past few years I had used Amazon banquet chairs in place of folding chairs, but lately those started to prove too uncomfortable for the larger folks in our crew. I wasn't about to spend $300-400 a chair for Pharaoh chairs without doing some research, and eventually struck up conversations with some Alibaba vendors.

I was immediately struck by the pricing, and was able to get a MOQ order of 12 chairs in to the vendor I enjoyed speaking with the most during my research phase. Enter Anji Aimier Chair Industry Co. With a wide variety of chair types, fabric types, and customization options, I set out to get a cheap order of single-table chairs to review for the board.

While I knew that I was in for a long lead time, I could not pass up the opportunity to get these chairs shipped TO MY DOOR for less than $120 per unit! I waited to get some hours into the chairs before I posted this review, but the time has come to say that I am absolutely AMAZED at the quality per cost. There are many types of chairs offered, but I decided on a black on black on black Liverpool style chair, which is equivalent to (if not the same supplier as) the Pharaoh "Poker Pro Chair", as I felt it fit the mood I was going for the most.

After discussing with the vendor for a few days, I placed the order. Unit price was $75 per unit, and after freight, tax, and Alibaba fees, the total per chair came to just $119 and change per unit. After a couple days short of 2 months from the day of payment, UPS delivered the chairs directly to my house. They came in multiple boxes - one containing all of the legs, and one for each chair containing the upper, lower, and hardware. Total assembly time was less than 5 minutes per chair!

Read my full ordering experience/review in the GB thread where I bit the bullet myself (with an assist from @Matco) here:

Quality
Multiple people were interested in seeing how my order went before firing off inquiries of their own. Out of the box they are heavy, thick, and the cushioning is firm in the lower seat, and softer on the upper seat. I am happy to report that after ~ 30 hours of play, they are as fresh and as new as they were right out of the assembly. I even expect them to break down a bit over time, which will only make them MORE comfortable.

I confirmed before ordering that these would easily handle 400 lbs (i.e. American weight) players, of which I have a couple nearing or over 300. The first 8 hour game was with a regular who is 6 foot 7 inches and is at or around 300 lbs, and he said it was the best addition I've added to the game after 2 decades. I don't see the cushioning being a problem long term, but only time will tell.

Ordering
The entire process was done via Alibaba's messaging system. The supplier's Alibaba store has many chair types, and I specified the chair type, legs, and colors via their messaging sy stem. After the details were finalized, I was sent an invoice (again, via Alibaba) that explained the rest of the taxes and fees.

The contact Gavin was extremely thorough and clear, which I did NOT find in the other suppliers I was talking to. He also sent a PDF of their chair catalog, which I'll attach here.

Shipping
This came with a standard China supplier timeline - 2 months from payment to arrival at my door. A couple of the boxes were, very plainly, beat to shit. With that said, I was not missing a single piece! There was NO DAMAGE to the cushions or the hardware. A singular piston cover was cracked very lightly during transit, however it is not visible because it is black, and it is under the table. You would have to get on your hands and knees to inspect each one to find it.

Final Thoughts & Discount
Because there are so many options I won't go into great detail in this thread about the height/form/function of this particular chair (I have and will continue to answer in the GB thread), but I would not hesitate to refer this seller to anyone on PCF. I know chairs are one of the larger purchases we'll make for our equipment (at least in size/effort, if not cost), and this SIGNIFICANTLY reduces entry into the chair market for most of us.

The price cannot be beat, and not only are these a great product for their price, but I would bet that they are in line with current casino gaming chairs. After being so impressed with the experience, I asked if the vendor was willing to provide a discount to the forum, given the interest of many hundreds of units I assume were to come from this. I am not a vendor, I am not a GB runner, I am not a middle man. I am a happy customer who was able to work out a discount code because I felt the vendor deserved it. You can provide the below discount code in your ordering process with Gavin -- again, this is all through messaging via Alibaba.

Something awesome to note that I'm REALLY hoping to see some of you do is - they also offer custom embroidery on the chair backs :p I'm happy to answer any questions on my ordering experience, and as stated above, and I'll port over some questions about these specific units from the original thread: https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/high-quality-poker-and-casino-chairs-china.104335/

@liftapint
I saw in another thread that you hosted a game to break in the new chairs. What did your players think? What did you think? Did you love them? Worth every penny?
I have 8-9 hours from a single poker game, and around 20 hours in short-handed board gaming. So far they feel the same as the day they came out of the box. If anything I wouldn't mind them breaking in a bit, but I'm happy to let time take care of that. As is, they are comfortable. I'm sure after 100+ hours they will be magical.

@beatsme
Any chance you could give me the widths of the seat and chair bases? Wanted to make sure I can fit 10 around my table and still have room for a dealer chair. These chairs look big! My table is 96in x 48 in. (May need a bigger table!)

Seat width: 20"
Legs width: 26"

Wow this is amazing. I wish I didn’t have the chairs I have now otherwise I’d jump at these. If someone wants to buy some Boss gaming chairs near Boston let me know! Lol

Do they have different leg options? Like a stackable leg? These chairs are amazing, but I simply don't have room for chairs like these when not in play.
Head to their site and check the myriad of chairs they offer! I would not hesitate to simply send Gavin a message, because he likely answer your question right away, or even send you a list of legs they have that stack.

I unfortunately cannot attach PDFs to posts here, but he can send you one if you don't feel like going through his product page on his store.

The original thread no longer allows edits or replies, so just going to tag those who said "following" in that thread.

Thanks for the tag. At some point, probably within 3-6 months, I'm planning to order some of these shipped to the Houston area. Anyone interested in joining in, feel free to PM me. Now my only decision is - do I want the originals that swivel, or the ones that stack!

Thanks for all the great information. Great find.
which is equivalent to (if not the same supplier as) the Pharaoh "Poker Pro Chair",
After studying them closely I have concluded the pharaoh chair must come from a different manufacturer (I think I found that supplier as well). Differences I can see are the metal L bracket on the pharaoh chairs is covered with a piece of vinyl and it has a paddle shifter and a round adjustment knob under the chair bottom, which these don’t appear to have the knob, vinyl cover and the arm is a straight arm. I would guess all other materials/comfort are likely the same though.

Awesome! Thanks for the clarification. I have never handled a Pharaoh in person, so by all means it could just be a superior chair. But I'm not Pharaoh rich, I'm China supplier rich  :ROFLMAO:

Me neither and they are both Chinese suppliers :) Was just poking around to see if I could find theirs

I finally got around to putting mine together a couple days ago and can say they are very comfortable and I wouldn’t hesitate ordering more! Currently using them as chairs for the slot machines until my table is done being built. Going to compare them to pharaoh chairs as well. Thanks to @Venturalvn for letting me me pick up 2 to try.

These chairs look awesome. If I didn’t already have so much invested in my current chairs I would definitely buy these and add animal house embroidery of course!

Gavin was pretty easy to deal with, just the timezone thing to navigate. Canadians be forewarned the shipping is brutal, was $800USD as opposed to the $420USD; and then an extra $129USD in Tax. Still feeling good about it, as the cheapest Gassers I could order were going to be $200USD each (New) with a high end of $300USD but that did not include Shipping, or Taxes; and there was a 6 month lead time.

My man is on the clock!

Did you end up going with the same chair, black on black, with black legs?

Yep, same chair, Black on Black, with a Black base. I considered the foot rest attachment for a moment, but realize I tend to rest my feet on the base legs as is; and no one is overly short so the floor will also work.

My wife is short enough where she wonders to what do with her feet, but ultimately I decided that any foot rest would be a ring around the base of my eventual "final table" as opposed to adding extras to the chairs themselves.

She also doesn't play poker, only board games. And we have multiple 6'5" players, and very few sub 5'9" players.
