Hello all,
I had a weird situation pop up last week. Running a nlhe tourney. Rebuys ending at level 4. Also this was the time to do the 'add-on'. One guy, who was not playing in the tourney, jumped in with an add-on. I don't think he should have been able to get just the add on. Thought he should have done a rebuy, THEN do the add on.
What are your thoughts on this?

That's what I thought but was not 100% sure.

To enter a tournament you have to do the buy-in. If you don't have a buy-in then there is nothing to do an add-on to. He was a late entry, if those were allowed, if allowed then he has to do a buy-in, then has an option to do an add-on like everyone else in the tournament.
