I collect only a few singles now, and I do it by color. Oh, and if I can afford them. Colors don't always neatly fall into the categories of blue, pink, purple, red, etc. Sometimes I shoehorn a chip into a category that somebody else would disagree with. Back to chips, here is a chipguide image of a world class brown colored chip that is out of my price range. It's shot up to several hundred dollars recently. To repeat, I do NOT have this chip.

Back into affordability range, here is a wonderful $3 chip (hardly any of those exist), and it just oozes chocolatey goodness. It has gone up in value recently, I'm guessing somebody is building a rack. Now we are at the part of the thread where we have my picture of MY chip.

And finally, a Riverside $25 scrown. Affordable, and just one of the best Reno chips ever.

Brown chips can look great. Sands LV in particular used brown for some of their higher denomination chips in the 70s and 80s with interesting edge spot colors.

Picked up these browns recently. They normally are not the standout chips, but sometimes they just SLAP
