Looking for a breakdown for 8 max up to 3 tables.

Trying to keep it to 4 chip denoms if possible. Not attached to any starting stack amounts or specific denoms. Yes T2000 may be used.

Looks like I have to order in 100 chip quantities. So was thinking 200/200/???/100. Don’t have a clue how many of the 3rd denom I would need.

Any and all suggestions welcome.

Maybe this isn’t the case, but if you’re getting a CPC set, I believe you have to average 100 chips per denom. So if you order 200 25’s, you can still get a barrel or two of 5K’s.

200 of all 4 denoms should work, especially if you use a T2000.

Or use a T5 base, or even a high roller T1000 base?

100 chip minimums makes things difficult.
If you go T1000, you can do T10,000 tournaments
200/200/100/200
8/8/4/7

If you do T2000, you can do either T10k or T20k but you need a few more T500 chips
200/200/200/200
8/8/6/8 for T20k
8/8/6/3 for T10k
But this gives too many 500s overall.

You also can’t efficiently do a T100 base set for a BB ante structure, as you want 10 T100 per player and you’d be stuck with 60 wasted chips for 24 max.

I’m really limited to 4 denoms. That’s where the problem lies. This might not be possible.

Oh it's surely possible.

If you are thinking base T25 with a top chip at T2000

Then 8/8/6/3 for T10K starting stacks.

200/200/175/125 of T25/100/500/2000. Use extra T500 to color up T25, use 13 of the T2000 to color up T100, and you would be left with enough extra T2000 for rebuys and add ons. You could drop the starting stack to T8000 and squeeze more rebuys in.

I guess this illustrates what the 5th denom is for. It builds the set to have rebuys only represented by one or two chips instead of 5.

But this might be an idea to try

I am planning a Base T500 for a label project.

4/8/8/6 of T500/1K/5K/25K for T200K starting stack.

100/200/200/150 for staring chips.
10 more T25K to color up T500 and T1000, 40 more T25K represents 5 more buy ins.

If you only have 4 denominations, consider using some weirder structures by starting at 100 chip. Not using a 25 leaves you a denomination free to use as 5000 or 10000 up top which makes chip set much more flexible for rebuys or deeper stacks

For instance, first few levels of a 10k, 100BB tourney:

100/100
100/200
100/300
200/400
200/500
300/600
400/800

300x T100 (24x10)
100x T500 (24x 4)
200x T1000 (24x 7)
100x T5000 - colorups/rebuys or use in starting T15000/T20000

200/200/175/125 of T25/100/500/2000. Use extra T500 to color up T25, use 13 of the T2000 to color up T100, and you would be left with enough extra T2000 for rebuys and add ons. You could drop the starting stack to T8000 and squeeze more rebuys in.

Oops missed the 100 quantity requirements. My base T500 suggestion fits, but the base T25 suggestion will waste some T500 rounding that up to 200.

Do you have max quantity you can buy? It seems you can get what you need tightly with 700 (only a few rebuys) and pretty comfortably with 800 with any base.

I could just use this as a freeze out set.

Yeah I think Frogs is the best way to go here, even with all the extra T100s. Then you can go T1000/T5000 or T2000/T10000 for deeper options as well.

But if I use T2000 don’t I need more T500? Or will the extra T100 make up for the difference.

Edit- never mind this post. Was thinking of color ups but won’t need to with Frogs structure.

Edit again- don’t know what I am thinking. This is what happens when your sleep deprived.

So if you T100/500/2000/10000

Starting stacks of 10/6/3/1 for T20K?

300/200/100/100

This actually gives you 30 buy ins, and 70 extra T10k for rebuys.

This might be your answer.

If you do T100/500/1000/5000

You would look at 10/6/7/2 for T20K
So 300/200/200/100 would give you 28 buy ins plus enough T5000 spares for 11 extra buy ins.

And if you find the rebuys chips are lacking you can drop the start to 15K.

But I am thinking this might be your answer. Good idea @Frogzilla :)

Based on your parameters, I'd just go with a T500-base set for three tables:

300 x T500
300 x T1000
300 x T5000
300 x T25000
---------------
1200 chips, supports up to three 10-player tables with starting stacks from 50K up to T300K each (10/10/7/10). The extra T5000 chips color-up the T500/T1000 chips with perfect efficiency. Going with just 200 chips of each denomination will cover 20 players (three 7/7/6 player tables, but not 24 total).
