Damn this is a good deal. If I didn't already have more than I need I'd be looking to add on!

I have a question and it also serves as a bump.

These chips look really nice. Who manufactured them? Are they clay composite? Are they 39mm? Do love the oversized inlay and the colors are amazing. Wish I could pick them up but recent chip purchases are starting to raise suspicions from the wife... GLWS.

Here’s a good thread with lots of info and disagreements. :)

But basically:
  • They’re not Paulsons. They’re manufactured by GPI, the company that also makes Paulson chips.
  • They are typically lighter than a Paulson chip, at 8g+ vs. 9g. So a different clay material.
  • They are on a lammer mold (no mold), so no impressions.
  • They are only available with white 312 edgespots.
  • They are only available with oversized, shiny inlays.
  • I believe they are intended to be a promotional/gift chip, I.E., business cards, wedding party favors, etc.
That said, they are high quality compression clay chips for under $1/ea. Get samples, or buy these at a good price, and you could easily resell them if you don’t like them.

They are beautiful in person. Very bright colors. I think the best value that you can get for tournament chips.

You should be able to get samples of the Monaco chips from Apache. Check his vendor sub forum for the website. They are the same chips... although you might miss out on this great price for a more limited set.

Haaa... Just tell her you are making a trade and start a secret stash to buy with mixed along with outright buys.
These chips have become my go to set because the guys really like them and request to play with them over other sets. Good for travel set too. Like I said before if I didn't already have some I would jump on this.
