I would be very upset!!!Same colored chips with DIFFERENT spot patterns are different chips in my eyes. The picture should show what you are receiving. Anything other than what is expected should be mentioned. Seems like this was very deliberate...

Just realized I accidentally voted “yes” above. Lol. Obviously I am a “no”. Seller accepting virtually no responsibility. Long back and forth. Originally called me OCD and just continues to minimize and tell me that he has already lost enough on these chips.

I would feel this is unacceptable.
Just because the chips are "close enough" doesn't mean they are what was represented in a classified ad.
Everyone on this forum, when buying a rack of chips, expects them to be the same chips unless otherwise noted.

Completely unacceptable IMO

You didn't get what you paid for.
He didn't give you what he posted for sale.

I'd try to resolve this via PMs. Then, if it doesn't work out... name names.

Bought 200 Red CPC chips from classifieds recently. Some were relabeled, some blank. Anyway, 129 chips showed up with the spots on the left and 71 with spots on right. Seller actually claims he never said spots were same pattern, just the same color. Also, blamed me for not asking if all chip patterns were the same before making deal. Is this something people actually do when buying racks of chips?? Verify spot patterns are same???
In the ad, the picture of the face of chips had the pattern on the left. No pics in ad of face of chips on right. Seller actually has the correct chips but thinks I should pay shipping which is ridiculous in my opinion.
Has this ever happened to anyone else??

I just like that you voted Yes, you would be happy with this deal  :ROFLMAO: Not great to leave the info out of the sale, but hilarious to them then not wanting to deal with shipping $.

This would bug me, but I'd just pay the $8 and put on Do not buy/do not sell list. I'm not surprised anymore when people don't stand behind their sale/purchase and follow through appropriately, count yourself lucky this dnb/dns only cost you $8.

edit: vote was changed to no afterwards, and it's international so I'm wrong to assume $8.

I'd be upset as I assume chips are all the same unless otherwise stated. See if you can work it out with the seller and send them back/refund the purchase and if not that's what the negative feedback button is for in the classified section.

I have and continue to try. If I leave negative feedback though won’t the seller just also leave me negative feedback even though I paid on time and did nothing else??

Yeah, getting something different from pictured/stated isn’t a fun situation. Hope this gets resolved.

Hopefully they don't. If someone leaves negative feedback that's punitive and isn't warranted shoot the mod squad a PM and we can assist.

If CoNus no problem but this is out of USA shipping

I would not be a happy camper. I'm surprised that people are saying this wouldn't bother. This would bug the heck out of me as they just wouldn't be the same chip to me. I think if a chip lot has different edge spot patterns it should be disclosed what the pattern difference is and what number of chip out of the lot are different. It could drastically impact a buyers decision.

Whoever it was knew they were being shifty when posting that.

In this community especially, this has to be disclosed. The average poker player who doesn’t mind dice chips probably would notice, but not care. This is PCF, For Heaven’s sake.

I would want to see the actual listing before I make definitive judgement. But I can’t imagine this would be acceptable. Were the photos taken deceptively? That could change my opinion from unhappy to angry. This needs to be disclosed.

Can we see the photos from the ad and the actual text of the ad please?

Yes--this is NOT ok. This is almost as bad as selling chips that you don't actually have in-hand, and not telling the buyer before they pay.
