A few people might have noticed that I've barely been active on PCF over the past couple of months.

Have generally fallen out of love with chipping, poker, and hosting home games, so have decided to sell this lot — and stick to live casino play instead.

Up for grabs is a beautiful semi-custom set of Paulsons, comprising textured @Gear inlays that can be removed with ease (can't imagine there's a huge market for £ denoms, hahah).

All chips in excellent (Paris $1s and Jerry's Nugget $1s) to near mint (leaded pink fracs and AS $20s) condition. See photos for more detail.

Breakdown as follows:
  • 100 x leaded pink fracs.
  • 200 x Paris $1s.
  • 200 x Jerry's Nugget $1s.
  • 20 x Aurora Star $20s.
Please note: 20 of these are in varying degrees of inlay removal, which you'll need to finish off.

Price is $1,700 shipped and insured up to $1,600 with FedEx. Please enquire for other countries.

Payment via PPFF.

No splits, unless one person wants to take delivery of everything and send to others accordingly.

Any questions, please don't hesitate.

Best,

Jack.

poker will weed its way back into your life in a meaningful way again one day.

5 years from now i bet i'll be saying: This is what I like to see. jr8719 back where he belongs, sitting with the scumbags, telling jokes, dragging the occasional pot...
It happens. I took a ten year hiatus, myself. Came back just this spring even more deranged than ever! Hosting is taxing, no doubt. Get rested man!

Sorry to see you go, Jack. I understand where you are at, and can sympathize.

However, a word of caution, as you sell amazing chips, BE SURE! If you are still playing live poker, you may come back to the hobby.

I made this mistake in 2023, ended up only being gone for 6months, and I’m still here buying sets I’ve sold in the past. Pretty sad.

I wish you well. It’s hard to out this place.

Thanks for all your kind words, folks.

No idea what market value is on these nowadays, so feel free to make me an offer.

Ok now I actually read the OP instead of just looking at the pretty chippies. Sorry to hear this, Jack. I’ve been there, you’ll probably snap out of it too sooner or later.

I sold some chips during my off period I wish I hadn’t, just saying…

Beautiful set and great colors!

This is probably a newbie question, but how easy are these Gear Labels to actually remove/replace? Are we talking thumbnail removal, or solvent removal? Thanks for the insight.

They pop off with little effort. Just a bit time consuming is all. It’s not hard though.

Both overlabel and inlay replacements, easy peasy.

Thumbnail. They stick VERY well, but still easy to get under them, and they will generally peel right off cleanly. Maybe with a little residue if they've been on for years.

And there is typically some residue leftover, and it surely scales with the time it has on the chip.

But…fear not…a little bit of Non-Acetone Nail Polish remover will definitely help to get it off. As well, if you are a purist, you can use Dawn soap and a toothbrush and will clean it quite well too!

I was typing it out, and then saw your terms, after reading properly, and never hit sent. You mentioned no splits and I figured I’d respect that stipulation.
Ahhhhh, fair, hahah. Open to a split, but would just need to go to one address / prices sorted out between the group of buyers in question.
