Love these and have had them for years but just bought another clay set* so moving this out. The oddball breakdown is how they came. IIRC I had to get this set up so I could get the 500s I wanted. I don’t want to break this set up but if it all will be accounted for I guess I’m willing to listen to any potential splits. I’m not in a hurry so we can see what we can see.

The chips are in very good condition. The 25s and 100s are pretty much mint, you could shave with them. The 500s edges are very square but they have seen use. They feel great. Not sure if they’re leaded or not. I’m sure somebody else can chime in with that. They have serious heft though.

Shipping will be actual cost, we can figure out how you want to receive them. If you’re within an hour of metro Washington DC, I’ll drive them to you gratis.

Let me know if you need more photos, video set to music, graphics, marketing speak, etc.

$25 X 190
$100 x 257
$500 X 73

Extras:
$5 x 5
$2000 plaques x 34 (ceramic, designed by the late great Sal of HPC)

Dealer button X 2

$3,000.00

*Not Tigers though I can’t figure out if I picked a good time to buy in a bad time to sell or the other way around. Who knows?

Not sure how to parse out the folks who want splits. I’m looking to hit my asking price but if folks are willing to pay over current per chip price for total set I could start parcelling out. It’s tricky because while all of the chips are THC real casino goodness, the the hundreds and five hundreds are far more rare, not that anything here can be described as common.

I still would like to see this go to one good home.

Just throwing this out there as a suggestion, but perhaps you could divide this into two lots with Lot #1 corresponding to all of the $25's and Lot #2 corresponding to all of the $100's and $500's. You then could pick a price for Lot #1 and a price for Lot #2 that adds up to your original asking $3000 asking price.

I suppose I could do this. I'm not sure the quantity folks are looking for though. If all inquired about are accounted for so I can hit my number:

The rack of $25s would be $500. If the higher denoms all go I can wheel and deal on the other partial rack of for a better price/chip.

The $100s and $500s would be $2.508.00 ($7.60/chip to keep the math easy)

I still would love this to go to one home but money talks I suppose.

Reiterating my interest in the 500s

Yes its expensive
Noted, though preference is going to go to whoever takes the most stuff.

I see you're in Oz, I'm guessing shipping will be in the very expensive category should this come to fruition.
Expensive indeed, but that's my problem.
I have other purchases that I need to have shipped back home so you'd be sending these to a US address.

Are these inlays smooth or textured? Leaded or unleaded? Just tryna confirm…first person that can answer correctly wins!

Definitely textured. I’ve always assumed they were leaded but I’ll let the experts confirm. Again they are hefty.

I‘ll do some super close ups and maybe video for sound.

The red 5s are 10.7 g per chip. They are textued small inlay.

I have a barrel of the larger inlay 500s and they are 9.4 g per chip. Maybe less weight due to the larger inlay recess, but from a sale recently for mostly large inlay Casas they were listed as leaded.

And after doing a little digging the Casablanca Casino Aruba closed in 2010. I don’t know what year the chips are from, the 25s and 100s seem uncirculated so I’m guessing somewhere in proximity to closing (again I don’t know for sure) so the link here would seem to suggest not leaded.

Indeed. The Casablanca chips and timelines are one of the more confusing ones. There's 5 variations of the $5, $25, $100 and $500 chips. I'm only counting the Paulson variations and not the ceramics.

And this might not be worth anything, but my first set of chips was actually hot stamped spotted Paulsons from around 1998. There’s a very specific aroma that all Paulsons have (or had, it seems diminished with the newer ones) but during the leaded era to me, it was more pronounced and these chips have that aroma.

So we have now come 450 degrees I think, ha…but those are leaded weights I do believe?
