Wanted 40x non-green/non-red $20 - Hi Desert $20 or something? (1 Viewer)

Hey everyone, been half planning out how i want to round out my micro cash set

I think my plan as of now is to build towards this end goal:

120x .10
180x .50
300x $1
160x $5
40x $20

That gives me a total bank of $2002 across 800 chips which i think is kinda nice and symmetrical for something like a 20c/50c 6-8 handed 200bb cash game

I've been browsing a ton of different $20 chips and lesser so the $25's given most are green to begin with and I like the $20 chip and $20 bill cash out thing that always comes up in discussions between the denoms.

I've mostly been steering away from greens or reds but I'm not opposed if they'd really fit in

Curious of anyone's thoughts and if there are any other recommendations for something i should consider?



these are some examples of things I thought looked cool from chip guide:

the hi desert is probably the top of my list just for colors and keeping with the general theme, plus being 312 and from searching around they might be attainable?

they look epic in @dmoney 's ugly bicycle set as the $100 as well wanted to give props

pretty sure these are all impossible lol but figured i'd just post some cool pictures as inspiration

You currently have 2 solids and 2 312s. I think having your top chip be a 3D14 would be the perfect progression. But good luck finding 2 barrels of Antique Rose.

These pop up every once in a while.

These are "smokin hot" and also available. They may not fit with your other chips though as they are usually in excellent to mint condition. Also, I don't think they are leaded.

These Yosemite Inn $20s are very close to the Barclay hot stamps, but no idea if they can be found in numbers.

I love $20 chips so looking forward to seeing how you complete the set.

Good call on the HP's, i forgot about those and they would probably be a good baseline. i do love the green yosemite's too, this thread from earlier in the year i was probably going back to look at a few times a day haha. i was thinking to avoid a green 20/25 for if/when i start thinking out a tourney set but we'll see

Thanks for the link. I had forgotten that the pic I had saved came from that sale. I'm always saving pics of chips I love, and especially 3D14s.

Yeah, I'm still kicking myself for not buying a few barrels of those HP $20s a couple of years ago when they were fairly cheap, but I was even cheaper! Basically before I started buying anything that was more than a dollar a chip. I passed on a lot of really great stuff back then that I wish I had now.

Yea I think you're right, I pulled the pic of those thinking they were darker than they are, but I'd probably get annoyed with the overlap towards my 50 cents

The Desert felt on theme for what I kinda have going on, like a California mission or something, maybe that's why I'm leaning towards brown chips or something

I know these aren't $20 hot stamps, but they fit in nicely with the condition of those chips and the colors. If you'd be willing to mill them or somehow sand and re-hot stamp them.
