To be honest, this might be a personal dislike but i wouldn't want to buy something from a pcf member, break it into smaller pieces and immediately try to resell to other pcfers for a profit.Would be really great if buyer was to break these out into sample sets...probably many here that would love to have a handful for poker room art. A chance to do a solid for the community and make a couple of bucks in the process. But, WTF do I know?
You will become 100 Larry....don't talk like thatTo explain further: I bought the basic set of ~450 mint El Ranchos on CT in 2012 from Josh at Apache, to save the set from being broken up. I've never heard of another playable set of El Ranchos (or any other Borlands, actually, though I'd love to be proven wrong there!)
I later bought all the El Ranchos that Marlow (David Spragg) had in 2021, and have been picking up any singles I can find at anything approaching a reasonable price. It's slow going, obviously.
The set is currently:
200 $1
225 $5
104 $25
54 $100
15 $500
16 $1000
5 $5000

I'm a set guy -- I don't collect singles or sample sets. I think it's important to the hobby to keep sets with some historical significance together as much as possible. Also, I am aging (77, can't deny it!), so I'm going to have to find another home for these in the relatively short-term future.
This is noble of you, but you’re going against the PCF way with this kind of thought! To be honest, this might be a personal dislike but i wouldn't want to buy something from a pcf member, break it into smaller pieces and immediately try to resell to other pcfers for a profit.
