$25.00 suggestions (1 Viewer)

I just can’t reconcile this:
It was bad Bill. We had a lot of $5s and $25s in play and I really had to look carefully to pull the $25s out. Maybe Pick Hobson $25s?

I mean what the hell are you guys drinking, that you can’t tell those two chips apart?
I’m serious.

I think it's the same green, coupled with an orangish spot and a dark spot...

The PH $25 is the same green, but with no orange and no dark spot, it's not as bad.

The Money Trees always look like a scratch off ticket...

Keep searching, Bill. Your answer is out there and once you find it, your set is that much more special.

I haven’t played with this particular line up but it could possibly have something to do with the lighting. I agree from the picture shown above it doesn’t seem like there would be an issue.

Alright, I'm just gonna say it.

Until you land on a $25 chip, just get yourself a barrel of hundos. You have enough frac through five to handle a full table, so the $25s are rebuys... Just make the hundos rebuys. Not ideal, but it avoids your dirty stack problem until you can solve it.

BTW, New China Club didn't use $25 chips... They jumped from $5 to $100.

...or red fives and done.

I got these into play last night. I definitely need to replace the 25s. I love them as a standalone chip, or with the red fives.

Like I said, Pick $25s for the win. :ROFLMAO:
A beautiful chip, and perfect choice brother...if Bill weren't OCD.. :ROFLMAO: What he mean you ask?

This....PHs generally stack 1 chip short compared to other TRKs. That is the only reason I didn't go with the beautiful PH $5 in my mixed set.

Is it though?
I wonder if some people are colorblind.
And I have to wonder how that chip would ever get in that stack? Are people raking pots with their eyes closed?
It's not every pot, but a few times a night, a $25 is under a $5 when the pot is pushed to the winner. It gets stacked with the $5's because it's not distinct enough to stand out.

Maybe the lighting isn’t the best sometimes in basements, but my vision is pretty good and I had a hard time distinguishing between the $5s and $25s when there were significant amounts of each in the pot. And I wasn’t the only one ... people splitting the pots were having trouble also.

This. Last night we had more action than normal. We had a ton of 300 to 400 dollar pots. I was managing the table center of the table. There was a few times that I had to "look for waldo" to get the damn 25's out of the 3 barrels of fives that were in the pot.

Oh, and I would love the red fives. They simply aren't available.

Could it possibly be a ploy by the TR Quenn to make you want to sell the set sooner? Maybe the Quenn knows enough about you to know that you’d grow out of the set sooner with this $5/$25 issue.
Then a Tuna could take the Quenn to lunch at McDonald’s on that $20 he’s going to get from a Hornet?????
It’s one big conspiracy I’m beginning to think!  :ROFLMAO:

That's pretty funny. I love this set. Even the non chippers were commenting on how awesome the chips were. Its going to be touch not putting them into play every damn time I host.

Please don’t do that Bill. Treasure them. If you put them in play once every couple months, it’s more likely I collect my $100!

They are not going anywhere. My point is , after owning these, I don't know if I need Paulson, bcc, cpc, ect.... these care epic chips

No matter how ugly, oddball and broken this set is, Bill is always gonna love it. There's just no changing that. It's like when Mrs Detroitdad looks at Bill...

But seriously, I want to get a chance to play with these chips... Particularly the quarters. I believe they are keepers, Bill. Just keep looking for the options to make it perfect.

I was careful with my $25 chips last night and with Bill’s good light above his table it wasn’t too bad. STD however is colorblind, was drunk and had his considerable chip stack in a messy pile lol! If we are careful I think they are ok for our stakes. I think the muted colors of TRK chips in general lend themselves to dirty stacks. A few people had ones in their fives last night! My conclusion, beautiful chips through and through, and fine like they are for us.

OK, I can see this is going to be a tough one (waiting this one out). But maybe we should keep the TRK cheer leading to a minimum. When I say these things, it's just some old beer-drinking crazy lady who likes old things. People might actually listen to you, Bill! Shhhhhhhhhhh.

This is prohibited by our contract.

I love everything about the NCC's. Its one of my favorite chips ever. I love the colors. The stamp is so sexy.

lol...........I mean, these NCC's are fucking ugly. I don't know if they will ever hit my table again. Is that better

Its definitely doable at my game. If possible, and I can improve the set. Then why not try. The worse case scenario is that I have to keep the Fitz 25 (which is a great chip)
