Understood. Tina sells hybrid molds about 50 to 1 vs cards mold, so she has no desire to make another similar to cards mold even though I have tried in the past.

What does Tina say when you ask about things like more aggressive crosshatching for more grip, and sharper edges? Can those not be incorporated into a new mold?

We do not talk about every idea, everyone has a different idea about what is best. I try to nudge her along with ideas. Most of them she just dismisses. We have discussed more texture so we will see where that goes. She does not seem to interested in any sharper edges. Her main amount of business comes from her side of the world so she is not always willing to do things she does not think is needed to maintain that business.

All those people and they can’t come up with their own molds or inlay designs. Sad.

Probably similar to sun as it’s 9% more recessed than sun. But overall all hybrid molds are too slippery IMO after some play

I am interested in going with a decent size purchase of your Tangiers mold, in your opinion, has the set you have become more slippery as you have played with them? Or has anyone anyone else experienced slippery issues with their Tangiers mold?

All molds get more slippery over time in my experience, but to a point and will take many games. Not a major issue, but just a clear of a difference vs clay.

Have only played with that set once so far though, but have spent a lot of time with the chips/handling/etc. Overall perform well, between web/greek.

Thanks for the info and insight. I really like the feel of the samples I have. So glad it’ll take many games before that takes hold.

Does becoming slippery over time have more to do with wear, or with accumulation of oils and other stuff from the player's hands - aka hooker juice? And if the second, then can the slipperyness be cleaned off?

Having just received my CHC order last week I can not emphasize more just how superior the results are with a little texture. I liked my Greek mold order from last year but these look and feel SIGNIFICANTLY better.

Until you hold them and look close, they look like clay chips. The only fault in the look is in the design stamp because it’s more reflective like plastic. Also the ink prints a little faded inside the designs some times

I suggested it before but after seeing these chips will suggest it again - an “improved” smooth chip with the same texture as the CHC and larger label, would be the be all end all mold for me.

The amazing color saturation of the current smooth mold but with the additional texture that give the CHC the matte/clay like look. Also they aren’t slippery and as a bonus, it would placate people who have an issue with this mold.

The only other small issue I had is inconsistency in diameter but I realize this is a value product.

The pics look good but still don’t do these justice. They look 98% like clay chips and the smooth area REALLY make the colors pop.

Yes, I meant that more as continue having the largest label. It would be the ultimate chip mold.
