First!!! Poker started off as a way to socialize with friends but after losing a few hundred bucks, I decided it was time to learn and get better. It's only been about a year since I started playing but I consistently play 1/3 at the casino even though I don't have the bankroll for it. I'm a pretty profitable player and it's turned into a way to get me through college and have been loving the growth I've been seeing. If I win, I'll take option #1!

Congrats on the anniversary and many thanks for the giveaway!!
Poker has brought joy to my life through meet ups, in which I've met some really incredible folks that have become very good friends. I am very grateful for these journeys and looking forward to many more!!

Option 1 please

Congrats! This is an awesome giveaway - option 2 please.

Poker is a time to sit around a table with good friends and enjoy some quality time together while engaging in a fun and mentally stimulating activity (mixed games only*).

I simply love poker chips. That’s all. It’s really more about the chips to me instead of winning something.

Option #1 please… and I have a US shipping address.

Congrats on your PCF anniversary!!! I love that poker has brought our group of players together and gives us a fun outlet to get out of the house and socialize together. It has become a healthy outlet where we can compete against each other and win bragging rights as well as a few bucks. It has also given us the opportunity to do some good every year at our charity tournament by raising money for some good causes. Poker has given us the opportunity for a great group of people to come together and bond and help each other to grow as players and as people. I'm just happy that there are people out there that enjoy the game as much as I do!!!

Thanks for the awesome giveaway! I would like to choose option #1 please.

Congrats on the milestones, and thanks for the giveaways, @VMR911! If I win, my son would probably dig Option #2, so I'll throw my hat in the ring for that.

I have friends from grade school and high school, but the guys I see and hangout with most often nowadays -- the ones I consider my friends -- are poker players.

@detroitdad, @mike32, @Sprouty, @ChaosRock, @Marc Hedrick, @TKEUofM, @Hooligan350, @Skagglio... Several more that aren't chippers.

Without poker and poker chips, I probably wouldn't have forged these friendships.

Most of my life I never really had specific interests or hobbies, especially nothing I'd consider myself skilled at. Poker has become an important part of my life, as well as some of my closest friends. It brings us together, we have a good time. It is also an interest I can share with my son. It's been a journey and one I will always be fond of.

Option #1 for me, though Dune is one of my favorite books period.

Congrats on the couple years! I remember when you first came on, time flies!
Option 1. Poker lets me enjoy time with friends and family and also helps me shift my mindset from every day things when playing.
Cheers!

I couldn't have said it better. A friend a work was asking about my poker hobby this morning. Asked if it was my dream to play in the WSOP. I said nope. I am not a casino fan. I love our home games. For me, they are as much of a social event, as they are a poker event.

Very generous of you, thanks! Option 1 please.

For me, poker has allowed my group of old friends an excuse to routinely get together, hangout, and unwind. We play for low stakes where it doesn’t matter, and therefore it healthily becomes about the bragging rights, camaraderie, and sharing of food and drink, which often times cost multiples of the total buy-in. It’s been a great activity to upkeep and strengthen our friendship.

Congratulations on the anniversary!

Poker started as a way to socialize with co-workers outside of work but has grown into a mini-family. I enjoy seeing these people, talking over dinner, then throwing cards and chips around the table.

Option #1 please.

In for option 2 please!

My kids (11 and 13) are on Spring Break this week so today we headed down to open the beach house for the season. Literally 20min ago my wife asked if anyone wanted to try to find a movie on tv or something, and my 13 year old asked if we could play poker instead. We’re in a small, quiet beach town where we spend a lot of time just hanging out as a family. Poker is a huge part of it. I play in a bunch of other games and at casinos routinely, but the four of us killing time playing poker down here is by far my favorite! Game starts in 9 min!

Congrats on your 2000 post anniversary, and your generous giveaway.
Option #1 please.

I started playing regular poker many years ago, mostly during evenings at our yearly provincial team bowling tournaments. Many from different teams would get together in one of the hotel rooms, have a few drinks and play stud, or 5 card draw for a few hours to relax after a long day of bowling. Once (NLHE) became mainstream in early 2000, we slowly veered towards this format, and have since introduced circus games in the mix.
Some of those same guys and friends are part of my regulars at my home game, so we have been together through sports and poker for 35+ years.
We play a few times a month, to socialize, have a few laughs, food and drink. We play $0.25/$0.25 small stakes $25 buy in with top up and rebuys in 4.5 hour session. We have a blast together as friends and buddies, which carries over into golf during the summer. We all love poker and golf....I never have any trouble filling my 8 person table.

Congrats!!! Option #2 plz

Poker brings be joy because I lose track of all time playing it. Instant flow state. Nothing else quite like it

Poker has brought a lot of joy to my life. My wife and I have loved hosting games since well before we were married, I’ve got a ton of nostalgia from my earliest memories of learning to play with my granny and some uncles and cousins over Thanksgivings and Christmases, and the games are just straight up fun. My best man was probably the guy that it was because we really came together to put together our regular college game all those years ago, and our friendship has carried through since.

Thank you for running this giveaway! If I am one of the folks drawn, I would be happy to defer to what the other winner wants, since I would be happy with either. But if I need to lock in one for the drawing to work, I’ll take Option #1.

Poker brings joy to my life when I see how happy my friends are when they win my money :)

Like many others, I find poker a great excuse to meet friends, old and new. However, I'll go one further.

Poker has helped me keep something straight in my head: Sometimes, you do everything right, and you still lose. Other times you will do your best but still get out-played. Life if full of punches, don't let them bring you down. You don't "win" at life getting the most money. You win by having fun.

...but winning is fun too.

Edit (because I've already forgotten this was a giveaway): Option 1

I still smile every time I think about playing for pennies in my garage when I was a kid. The game grew to nickels in high school, and quarters in college. Pokers' been a part of my life since I was 9. I have so many incredible memories; playing stud with the old men at the Taj, some wild home games in my 20s, the early days of online poker. Does anyone remember Poker Source Online? They sent me to the WSOP in 2005.

The stakes are irrelevant. I get (almost) as much joy taking down a $10 PCF Tournament as I do crushing a 2/5 game in a casino.

Edit: I've also gotten much joy from the Dune series and think I own at least 2 hard copies and 1 kindle version....so option 1 for me.

Poker brings challenges and competition into my life. It keeps my brain working and helps me to stay on my game.

But aside from all of that, it’s quality time with good friends. Even with the hustle and bustle of daily life, I can always count on my monthly meetup with people who used to be weekly wingmen. We eat, drink, talk trash, and try to outwit each other all the while sharing laughs and memories of years past. I know eventually that will dwindle down but for now, it’s something I look forward to.

Option #1 please

Thank you for running this giveaway!

I've always liked complexity. Am attracted to it (study, leisure, and work) and that attraction has shaped my life. There's nothing more satisfying than delving into a big pile of complexity and resolving it successfully (or not). To me, that is what poker is. Even better, it has a social aspect to it. I don't have much interest in pure social; it bores me, even though I like people. But with poker I scratch the complexity itch and get to enjoy people (and my many friends) while they are immersed in complexity with me.
Oh, Option #1.

Also this. The kids are starting to grasp that link, which is interesting to watch.
