I'm about to order a semi custom Chipco set. This will be for a 2 table T20K.

What do you think of the following breakdown:

25
180
100
260
500
100
1000
140
5000
60
25000
20

I know the $25K isn't needed in this set, but just getting a barrel because I can. I like to start with 13 100's which is why I have 260. Need more 500's? Look good as is?

20UP with 8x 25, 13x 100, 5x 500, 6x 1000, and 2x 5000 per player breakdowns will need this set:
160x 25
260x 100
100x 500
150x 1000 (added 30 for colouring-up (4 for 25s and 26 for 100)
50x 5000 (added 10 for colouring-up 500s)
Add more to your needs if you're going deeper, say, for High Rollers style games.

Just a thought, but do you need 25's for a 20k? 100/100 starting blind level would still give 200BB. 20 x T100, 10 x T500, 13 x T1000 or something like that.

Much appreciated! Probably round up a little more to have some extras.

Consider a set with more T1000s and fewer T100s.

I imagine most tournaments will require two color ups, you would be removing almost 2/3rds of the chips in play before then.

Consider 20x (T25/100/500/1000/5000) 8/8/4/7/2 or 160/160/80/140/40 for stating stacks, plus 20x T1000k to color up the T25 and T100. That 600 on the nose right there. Maybe do an extra 60 T5k and 40 T25k (or maybe just T20k?) This is a set of 700 instead of 760.

And you still have more than half your set in play after the 2nd color up.

Or do 12/12/5/6/2 x 20 for 240/240/100/160/40 for staring stacks plus 40 extra T1000 for color ups.

That's 820 chips. And maybe do 40 more T5000 and 40 T25k to make 900 chips.

I think T25K chips could be useful in the later stages of a T20K tournament. Though a barrel or two should be enough to cover all the other chips in the set.

But I just think you want to make sure you have enough T1k chips at the end.

Looks pretty good to me. I’d consider adding more 1000s before I added more 500s. 4x 500s per starting is more than plenty

Thanks for the suggestions.

I'm still playing with the numbers. Currently at:

25 170
100 270
500 100
1000 160
5000 60
25000 20

= 780 (might round up to 800)

A few extra 25's and 100's in case they get lost or damaged. I don't like doing more than 8 25's. People don't horde them like they do with the 100's. Pisses me off when you have no hundos and need change. You give 1000 to the guy that is hording them. He give you a 500 and 5 100's lol.

Also, If I was going to do 240 25's, I'd be too close to a 3 table set (8 / 8 / 4 / ....) and end up spending more to fill it in.

I understand this thinking completely :).

If going heavy on the T100 will work for you then go for it.

But do consider going up on the 1000s, that's what you should use for color ups and what you will want in play at the end :).

If it was me, I’d round up to full racks and ditch the 25k. If you want rebuy chips then do 20k plaques.

Not in the budget right now. I would eventually consider 5K plaques just so they will get some use. The 25K will probably not be used much if at all. Just getting them because a barrel only costs $15.80.

So 800 really is your max. And 8/13/5/6/2 is the desired stack.

160/260/100/120/40 starting stacks (680)
30T1000, 40T5000 color ups. (70)
5/5/5/5/10 extras, and 20*T20k/25k (50)

800 chips :).
