As @Saditsfact can attest to, I keep fucking up the name of this chip. Pen Pal. Pay Pal. Pig Pen. Whatever it’s called, I recently acquired an 800-chip Pen Pal/Pay Pal/Pen Pad set just to acquire the 3 racks of 312 purple $3 chips, and 2 racks of $1s and 3 racks of yellow $5s came along for the ride.
Now up for auction is 2 racks of Pen Pad hot stamp $1s. These chips weigh about 10.2g/chip, so I’d educationally guess that these are likely leaded.
I hand cleaned and oiled 2 barrels (cleaned using a magic eraser and pairing knife) and I cleaned just the edges (magic eraser) and oiled the rest of the chips, but 160 of the chips have faces that still need to be cleaned.
Auction starts at $1/chip. Winner pays $15 shipping via UPS Ground. CONUS only.
I’m currently planning to keep the 3 racks of yellow $5s since it’s not particularly easy to find heavy (almost 10.5g/chip) yellow, hot stamp Cali $5s in playable quantities, but if there’s a winner in this auction and the winner is interested in the Pen Pad $5s, I’d be open to selling the $5s to the winner (and only to the winner) at cost.
