The common colors of a Cali set seem to be as follows...

$0.25 - red
$0.50 - green
$1 - blue
$5 - yellow
$20 - black
$100 - white

So with that said, what color would a $2 chip be in a Cali set? I’m not sure I’ve seen one. Lakeshore Inn, Horseshoe Gardena, Huntington Park, Vineyards, Crystal Park, etc.

Orange?
Pink?
Purple?

I think Club Courage uses green but not sure if that is intended to be a Cali set or not.

I think the bigger question is why bother having a $2 chip at all?

Outpost Casino has pink quarters, green 50c chips and orange $2s.

Of course, it also contains brown $1s, red $5s, white $20s, and butterscotch $25s, so there's that. :wow:

So you’re saying orange is an option then. Lol.

I think the Cali colors are all over the map but I've always gone by this for the standard:

.25 - Red
.50 - Peach
$1 - Blue
$2 - Green
$3 - Brown
$5 - Yellow
$10 - (optional)
$20 - Black
$25 - Purple
$100 - White
$500 - (optional)

Of course I used Brown for my $5 (mainly cause I didn't like the Yellow 8V) so there that. Go with what you like. :)

Anytime someone gives me reason to use the ChipGuide Query tool, I'm gonna use it.

I filtered the H&C (hat & cane) mold only, which should pick up any Paulson chip whether RHC or THC, (assuming it's coded correctly in the database).

Green seems to be favored for the $2, but a lot of pink chips are in there too. This is only page 1 of 3.

Wow -- I found some chips I don't think I've ever seen before -- and check out the purple $2 chip from the Turlock Poker Room! Still open, according to ChipGuide. I wouldn't mind having a barrel or 2 of those $2s.

(Edit 12/21/2018: found this photo on Yelp for the Turlock Poker room :) - must be a higher stakes limit game (8/16? 12/24?)

Oh shit the $2 and $3 chips are insanely awesome.

I immediately did the same thing, except I didn't filter by H&C, and then I spot checked a few to make sure they also had Cali Colors going. Bay 101 is a prime example:

I thought several people who have visited the Venetian over the past few months have said they no longer use this chip. Is that true?
Yeah I talked to both the poker cage and the main cage, and talked to their managers, they said they haven't had them for a really long time.

I’ve grown accustom to using them over the years at Foxwoods playing $2/$4 limit and $4/$8 limit.

Hmmmm...I don't know. I thought I saw a post where somebody recently harvested 10, but it seemed incredibly difficult. But maybe not. My old ass only remembers half of what I see or read. (:
