1st set of "real" chips (1 Viewer)

I have had a few sets of cheap dice chips over the years. Just scored some Chipco custom cash chips on Craigslist from a local poker club that shut down. I think they are a really cool peice of local history that I can actually use and enjoy!

Yes, I asked if they had 25 cent or $25 dollar chips but this was it. I'm guessing it was $1,$2 blinds.

Which is fairly typical, I am sure. These couldn't have been the only chips, right? The bank seems quite small for a card room.

Not sure. I will definitely look into it. That would actually add to the cool factor for these chips

It would explain why you couldn't get 25's. The setup for the dealer school only had 1's and 5's.

Hey @tabletalker7 I did a little research and found these 2 articles about the poker club chips. You were 100% on the money, the club these chips came from was raided by the Greater Rochester Area Narcotics Enforcement Team. I have put pics of the articles below. Thanks for the info!!

If I remember right (it has been 15 years) you are one rack of 5's and 2 racks of unlabeled fracs from the dealer school set. Two tables were used for dealers school, each table had a tray worth 1500 in chips. Wow this posting is a trip down memory lane.

I bought everything he had left. I was only going to buy 700 but when I checked them out he said he had another set of 700 so I bought them as well.
