Man I love these chips. I don't know what to do with them though. Do you have any complete racks?

Were these originally roulettes or what was their original use? It seems odd they have no denom. Top shelf chips for sure.

Redfield loved roulette and worked on building his system. He was friends with Lincoln Fitzgerald who owned the Nevada Club (another interesting character). Fitzgerald would let Redfield bet higher limits and had special chips made only for Redfield to use. TR King records show that 1000 of each color were ordered in 1954. Redfield was even allowed to spin the ball himself on occasion. They were non denom so Fitzgerald could set the limits to whatever Redfield wanted to gamble for the day.

This is so cool. It just makes the backstory even more interesting. So these were chips made for 1 individual who loved roulette. Amazing.

There is a story on the chipboard we’re Redfield cleaned the casino out so badly in roulette right before Christmas that none of the employees got Christmas bonuses. He returned shortly after Christmas and lost it all back and the employees got their bonuses. This was told on the Chipboard by person who actually worked there at the time .

Fantastic. I would love to see a documentary about all these great old Vegas/Reno stories. Everything is too commercialized now. I could easily watch 2 hours of people (ex employees or players) tell their old gambling stories.

One of the great poker stories around. Amazing knowing we are using the same chips he had in play. Not to mention Redfield was legendary - all his silver kept at home. He would walk to the casino to his house. He was frugal and had crazy amts of cash. Never liked banks and just a very interesting story. Truly amazing really if you research him

Free bump for some of the damn finest chips I've ever seen.

I think I'll have to hunt down a single. Pretty sure just because of the backstory alone. Plus, they look great!
