60 - $25
30 - $100
9 - $500
1 - $1000

I like more chips on the table for these single table tourneys and have higher denominations to color up as the tourney progresses. Seems to have worked so far, thoughts?

If it works, you have the chips, & you like it that's all that matters.
I , as well as many others on this board, like chips:)
I would suggest a few less 25s, (60 25's is a lot), a few more 100s..
I usually start stack with approx. a barrel each of 25 & 100, and approx 20 chips or so mixed between 500/1K/-5K denoms...

Generally speaking, stacks containing any more than 20 chips per player of any denomination is just a waste of money and time.

90% (or more) of the overage chips will simply sit untouched in stacks, which is pointless. They will never actually see any play, unless somebody goes all-in and loses, and the stacks need to be pushed from one location on the table to another (where they will sit unused, once again).

And intentionally using the extra chips instead of larger denomination chips "just to use them" is highly inefficient and wastes time. Same goes for moving multiple stacks of otherwise needless chips during an all-in - it just wastes time.

30 is too many; 60 is ridiculous overkill.

Is this a Limit tourney where lots of small chips are used for betting?

If it's No Limit only, I'll second what was said above.

If you want more chips, go with more 100s, something like:

20/20/5/5 - 50 chips, which i just realized is a rack friendly breakdown
8/23/3/6 - 40 chips exactly
12/22/7/4, etc.
