Greetings, Programs!
This is my first time selling so please let me know if I am missing something. Here’s my set of Paulson Casino de Isthmus (CDI ‘05) chips. These chips have only been used a handful of times and most are in near-mint condition (maybe a little dusty), with very few chips having nicks along the edges [see photos].
Some chips haven’t seen gameplay at all! They’ve been in storage for a while and need a new home.

Here’s the breakdown:
(200) $5
(250) $25
(250) $100
(150) $500
(150) $1000

I know that people may only need barrels or racks but I’m looking to sell the whole set for $4500, or 500-chip sets (half amounts of all demons - no custom builds) for $2300, plus shipping [insured of course].
International buyers welcome if willing to pay the shipping charges (calculated depending on location.)

Thanks for viewing!

The other thread paid off; great sales thread all around! Other brand new people should take notes from you.

Good luck!

Good luck with sale!

dibs on both racks of $5s and a rack of $25s if it ends up being split

(Will pay pretty penny for some of the $5s and $25s from whoever decides to buy these)

Some times this hobby just makes you scratch your head! These are worth a crap ton more than this "off the forum" I paid more than that for all of my denoms! I am already tagged as a hoarder but buying these would bring my average price down considerably... can't swing the whole thing and don't need them but damn can't believe for this price they weren't snatched up!

I guess while everything else goes through the roof these are going back to Paulsons original $1.25 prices... again for the record this just recently sold on eBay

It was not a freak thing, any time smaller lots sell on eBay it has been over $4 a chip!

Sorry for the rant @Talrem ! You have amazing chips buddy. They are worth every bit of that "and more" I highly suggest taking the hit for the fees and listing them on eBay! There was a time not long ago here in the forum that you couldn't get the $1k chips for less than $4 each and even then they were very hard to find.

Good Luck with the Sale Sir!

I saw those eBay auctions too. There were only 2-3 bidders for each auction which lead me to the conclusion that a) my chips have way more value as you mentioned, or b) it was someone’s attempt to sell the chips, got one or two bidders, then had someone bump the price up for them, and maybe even got stuck with “buying” their friend’s chips!
It’s too hard to tell.
But if you’re saying that you actually paid a high price ($4) for each $1K chip, then I may consider going to eBay to try it out. I thought I’d offer them here because I see that members are true collectors and would care for them as I have.

I need to think about options now.
Thanks for the info!

If I decide to split the set @TrillAK, you can pay that “pretty penny” to me for the racks you want. I’m still considering options for getting my set completely sold.
Stay tuned…

The Paulson Chip Mold just doesnt do it for me Great Colors though GLWS
I believe many collectors prefer the top hat mold over the Paulson mold. I sometimes find it irksome that the name is there, whereas the logo is more decorative and ”non-possessive” like the name is (if you get what I mean).
Either way, I still find the feel, look, and sound to be very pleasing.

Just my two cents. I often wonder who is bidding up and buying these small lots of chips. Are they choosing to build a set this way or are they completing a set?

And should these small lot sales inform us of their value among PCF members?

What is a seller netting after paying the various fees in conjunction with the cost of shipping?

If these chips are worth over $4@, they would have sold by now. Better to sell such a set piecemeal on E-Bay if one's goal is to get top dollar.

IMO, these chips are $3 to $4 as listed.

I don’t think price is the issue - sell this by the rack and you’d get enough to match your total price. By the barrel you’d do even better. If you tried to sell the whole set on eBay you’d have also get less per chip for a large set. Not that eBay doesn’t garner a premium but it’s not as big as it looks and has the 13% in fees.

Big sets also need more time to find the right buyer.

Yeah, I just might do that.
How would I go about doing it though?
Do I close this post and start a new one?

I recently sold an 05 CDI set here on PCF.

~400 tourney chipset (100, 500, 1000) for $1000.

I think the appeal for the fantasy chips on the Paulson chips mold is limited these days. Especially CDI, where there are multiple versions.

im pretty sure you can edit your thread if no one has followed up on your initial sale offering. and then the people who called dibs for specific denoms in the case of splits would have first option to buy at whatever your posted price is. (not sure if that's what you're asking)

That’s exactly it. Thanks!

Howdy, Programs!
I‘ve begrudgingly decided to split the set.
@TrillAK has already claimed the 2 racks of $5 and one $25 rack since the start of the post, so I will honor it.

I don’t want to undersell my chips because they are in like-new condition (except for 5-6 chips), and I don’t want to go as high as eBay prices because I don’t think it’s fair to price-gouge to that extreme (even though I probably would get buyers on eBay). I really don’t want to split the set for various reasons, and more deliveries is more work/hassle for me.

So here’s my proposal… I will set my prices, and members claim first dibs if they want to buy! If anything doesn’t sell, I will take @Ben8257 ’s and @Stufflymcstuff ’s advice and put the remainders up on eBay to get those higher prices and deal with the fees.

***NOTE: I WILL DISCOUNT FULL-RACK PURCHASES. If no full racks remain, then it’s barrel price only.***

***NOTE: There are changes to the quantity of chips per denom. See numbers in (#) for total chip.***

HOW WE WILL PROCEED:

1. Claiming Dibs -
  • ***You must post your dibs claim to this thread first in order for your claim to be valid. I, and other members, need to see who’s claiming dibs on what.***
  • ***Direct/Private messages will not be accepted as claims.***
  • Time stamps on posts will be used to determine first dibs on chip amounts.
  • All subsequent bidders will then be placed in order of bidding time, and will have the opportunity to revise their claim on any remaining chips.
  • Once you claim dibs, you agree to pay the price set for the amount of chips claimed.
  • I will message you to conclude the transaction once I verify the sequence of claim.
2. Payment -
  • Payment is to be made through PPFF after direct messaging and purchase agreement is made (cost of chips + shipping).
  • Once payment is verified, I will prepare your order for shipment.
3. Shipment -
  • Buyers choose, and pay for, their shipping preference and option for insurance.
  • Shipping price is calculated during direct messaging and added to total.
  • Packages will be securely padded and wrapped prior to shipping.
  • Packages will be sent 2-3 days after full payment is verified.
  • Tracking info will be DM’ed once package is sent.
  • Photos of package will be DM’ed too.
4. Liability -
  • I will not be held liable for any lost, damaged, or stolen packages once they are handed over to the post office/parcel delivery branch for delivery.
5. Satisfaction -
  • Rest well knowing you’ve dealt with a reliable, trustworthy, and swell guy.
  • Once your package has been delivered, unwrap your parcel carefully to avoid damaging your new chips.
  • As you release them from their wrapping, enjoy the look, feel, sound, and smell of heaven in your hands.
  • You’ve made a great choice with this purchase - be proud of yourself!
So here’s the prices for the split:

(140) $25 = $450/rack - $95/barrel

(240) $100 = $500/rack - $105/barrel

(140) $500 = $600/rack - $125/barrel

(140) $1000 = $700/rack - $145/barrel
