Probably the most miserable weekend I've ever had in my life.

Woke up on Saturday to take my dog to the groomers, when he returned him he was acting really strange. Immediately rushed him to an emergency vet. My 6 year old dog, who seemingly had no health problems was now full of cancer that was spreading aggressively. We were given an immediate prognosis of 3-4 months to live, but he would be in significant pain during that time.

As you can guess, we had to make the unselfish decision and put down my boy.

With this visit we were not expecting it was quite costly.

While I do enjoy these chips, they are quite nice, I have to take care of this bill right away and this seems like an easy option for me.

These chips have no sentimental value and were only to be used as a 2nd cash set.

800 of the chips have been cleaned and oiled

I am soooo sorry for your loss! Some people don't realize how traumatic losing your best friend pet is. I am not one of them. I have gone through this 5 times in my life & it is always horrible. They want nothing more than to give love and companionship. Take comfort in knowing that you gave him a great life while he was with you.

Wow, terrible, just terrible. I'm truly sorry for your loss. Last February, I noticed my six year old English Springer stumbled a bit when she hopped on the sofa. Took her to the clinic and tured out she had terminal kidney failure. She was gone two days later. It's always tougher when they're young and still so full of life. My condolences.

Thanks everyone for the love. He was a special dog. First dog that was my own and not a family dog

I'm obviously quite late to the table but I'm really sorry to hear. Over the years we've lost dogs and had two miscarriages. The memories of those never go away but it does get better over time. As hard as it seemed to put your buddy down this weekend I think you did the right thing. Growing up my parents prolonged a situation similar to yours for almost six months. I know they paid a fortune in vet bills, she was miserable and my sister and I would always come home from school wondering if she was still alive. In hindsight they swore never again and my wife and I have held to that with our dogs.

On the bright side I'm glad your chips sold quickly and the pregnancy is doing well. Chin up, tomorrow's another day. Hang tough.
