Looks like an injection pimple at the 1 o'clock spot? I've seen plastic hat (no cane) chips before but never with the cane. Any ideas?

I've seen 'em before, although I don't think those were hot-stamped. Not sure this one is either, based on the wear pattern.

Definitely not authentic Dunes chip used in play, and probably not vintage, either. LOL at 'very rare' and the $200 BIN price tag. At best, it may have been available as a cheap souvenir in the Dunes gift shop.

Looks like 2 other hats have a pimple as well.

Im pretty sure they are plastic. I've seen a bunch of these drilled in different colors. My guess is they were made for gift shop key chains, but that is only a guess.

It looks like similar pimples in the hats at 6 and 9 o'clock as well!
Edit: too slow.
And there doesn't seem to be any crosshatching either

i smell a turd...gift shop crap i am sure...years back before i knew better, i bought a rack ( thought i was wise and stealing it) of what i thought i was casino clays with dunes and some other names on them, solid plastic.......dumped them a few weeks later for a loss but learned just cuz it says Dunes and Las Vegas and looks like "clay" in the pictures and appears to be a steal of a deal....it isnt and wont be 99% of the time...live and learn, (n) :thumbsdown:

You mean the inlay? This one has similar font

so I guess not. I've seen those on eBay over the years, but never looked closely at them to see they were plastic
