I asked the seller if these chips are THC:

you're assuming they know what THC is and or the difference between the different molds. Its possible they think THC is another name for Paulson. If someone is asking if those are THC and cant tell that they arent, then there is a chance they are just as clueless as each other.

Furthermore, THC = Top Hat and Cane. Around here we equate THC to mean both H&C(SCV) as well as H&C(LCV).

Since the "Paulson" mold has a top hat and cane on the mold its easy to see people can get confused. If you add in the popular paulson fantasy line "Top Hat & Cane" (WTHC)in the equation the chance for confusion increases as those chips are on the "suits" mold.

If your not a chipper and spent countless hours trying to understand the nuance between the different chips its really easy to see how misnomers in the chipping world can happen.

Everything you said is 100% correct but it’s important to reinforce that THC is the misnomer. It’s slang that has an accepted (though ambiguous) meaning here which isn’t understood by the rest of the world.
