The picture is pretty close to accurate, they are a fairly light tan color. I was gonna mill them and add nickel labels but decided that was too much work considering I have played with nickels exactly once in my life haha. Even when I was playing NLHE at 14 I was playing .10/.20
Well, the only reason I know is because I was the original seller of most of these (approximately 8000 of them in a dozen or more colours) to the PCF membership. To be sure, the chips themselves are approaching 40 years old and many were not necessarily stored in the most ideal conditions by the time I got them, and there was definitely some colour variation probably caused by different batches made at different times. I think they cleaned up very well, though.
