Man, I'm too late :). Great price for a gorgeous chip. Now you have a target to build a set of these.

For the curiosity, what would a set of these cost? (I know I have no chance of affording these)

I really like the spot progression in the Tophat and Cane chips. They seem to be really hard to find though.

Fair enough. How about the Audi, BMW, and Lexus sets then ;). I figure at some price point I could get custom chips made that would replicate anything more expensive.

Maybe budget under $3 a chip, probably max of 20. This is more exploratory research at this point.

I'm just curious to hear some opinions of what everyone considers the best chips at tournament denominations to be. I'm sure there will be tons of different opinions, but if cost and availability were irrelevant what would your chosen set be?

So my friend ended up getting the set for $100, and the guy threw in a pack of Copaq cards! How cool is that?

Hahaha! Actually to be fair, Phil might be a whiny baby, but he is a really good player. I'm sure he has a lot of knowledge to pass along. Whether or not he does that effectively in that DVD is another story. If it's anything like his book... Fold!

Thanks, I'll let him know. Just for my own curiosity, if they were higher denominations would they be worth more? Or are the fractional denominations worth more?

Thanks! I think he is going to get them based on those alone. He said that it's mostly the $0.25 chips (300 of them), but that's what he wants for home games.

Anyone know what kind of chips these are? A buddy is thinking of buying the cases and asked if I could help figure out if they are worth it. I can't tell from the pictures what they are. I already told him what the Phil Helmuth DVD is worth :D
