    Denominations

If wanting a low stakes cash-value tournament set, go with one of the following: .25, 1, 5, 25 or .05, .25 1, 5 For a $50 buy-in = 100 starting big blind tournament, the initial blind level would be .25/.50 with an 12/12/7 = T50 starting stack (using .25/1/5 starting chips with 5 and 25 denom...

    Denominations

I love this, thank you so much. I would definitely lean towards the .25 base set. What about if I allow rebuys? By the break how many of the 10 players would you imagine need to get another starting stack? That ambiguity is killing my ocd planning of chip purchase lol

    Opinions Needed: Poker Chip Breakdown

^This^ all seems pretty silly and needlessly confusing. To have denominated chips and then subsequently ignore them during play is ill-advised. The optimum breakdowns for cash sets and tournament sets are totally different, and for this simple reaon should thus be considered independent sets...

    Custom E&C Relabel Set(s)

Okay, still marinating the Maho ideas so turning attention to what to do with the rest. I’ve decided to turn a bunch into a custom set for one of my closest friends who is my go-to poker buddy. I’m thinking about trying to do it with these: The exact quantities are: 120 yellow 75 white 75...

Tourney T- Base Preference for Tournaments

What makes T100 easier with BBA than T25? Isn't the big blind already at 100 or more by the time the BBA kicks in? I've only played in a BBA tournament once, so I'm not familiar enough to know why it would be different. Thanks!

Tourney Any suggestion to my Tourney structure ?

Thanks for the input! Isn't it better to have at least the same amount of the smallest value chips? 6 seems too little, doesn't it? I have this many chips at the moment: T500 x 100 T1000 x 50 (going to buy 50 more) T5000 x 25 (going to buy 50 more) T25000 x 0 (going to buy 50) T100.000 x 25...

With this breakdown, this set would work great to relabel the T25s into T1000 (think Hustler Casino, which as green $1000 chips!), and have a T-100 base with starting stacks of up to 40k for 20 people, or up to 80k for up to 10 people. I'm thinking a small, custom, oval shaped-label could be...

I'm not sure which would be more tilting ‐- an obvious denomination re-label, or having green T1000 chips in play.

    Deep stack tournament sets

Excellent write-up. Just wanted to add another base-chip option for tournaments, which is the T.25-base set. It allows for actual cash-value stacks in a tournament format, meaning that cash game sets can be used without security concerns. A T.25-base event starting with .25/.50 blinds and...

    Home Game Chip set question

Indeed, your proposal does not 'look good'... In tournament play, the values of the chips used do not have to align with the buy-in amounts (in fact, they very rarely do). Establish a fixed series of denominations to be used, sticking with numbers that are four or five times apart. Whole...

Community feedback on my design please?

Tourney Do you prefer T5s, T25s, or no preference?

Yes. For me, it’s not about colors or higher values, it’s about how the increasing blinds play. And though I’m fine with T5, there always seem to be some blind levels that are a pain in the butt. Like maybe you have a 20/40 level, where you have to fire out 4 chips to make the big blind. It...

    If you’d prefer to have a quarter, in case you start playing cash games, you could also create a T.25-base STT that looks roughly like this: STT T.25-base tourney set T200 starting stacks (12/12/7/6) 200 big blinds .50/1 starting blinds Breakdown: —————— T.25 x 120 T1 x 120 T5 x 70 T20 x 100...

Tourney Seeking T1 MTT Tournament guidance for >40 players (With Tiger Palace chips)

Hello PCF friends, I am thrilled to share that I have began the development of my Tiger Palace Primary T1 tournament set. My goal is to accommodate ~40 players for multi-table tournaments by the end of this year, with further plans to expand to around 80 players by Summer 2025. I would be...

Hmm if you are getting creative, how about a double mill job on a yellow chip and then apply a label to that to match. Mill an outer recess not as deep as the inner. You might have to do two labels, one for each recess? The outer would be a ring label, lol. But you could maybe do a thin...

    Guidance Needed for Set Structure

Hello all, I’ve been lurking for a while and finally registered in hopes of getting some much needed guidance. I’m looking to buy a set for low stakes home tournament play, and after searching the forum and reading, and realizing what I’m actually doing at my local bar league (tournament...

...instead also use it for a 25c/50c cash game, add 100x 25c chips, 50x $1 chips, and 50x $5 chips. If you are playing micro-stakes cash games (like 5c/10c), you are probably better off changing the tournament set to a T.25-base (vs the T1-base set I listed) and adding 100 nickels and 100 quarters.

    Tourney Multi-Table Deep Stack.

    Here's what I do, which should work for you too. Start with what I call the "standard home game structure": 25/50 50/100 75/150 100/200 150/300 200/400 300/600 400/800 600/1200 800/1600 1000/2000 Now repeat from 150/300 but with another 0, i.e., 1500/3000, 2k/4k etc. I hope you get the picture...

    Wanted Frac / $20 / $25 / $100 Hot Stamped TRKs

Actually, I just realized the count would be 12/12/7/8, for a T210 starting stack. You could go back to 12/12/7/6 for a T200 starting stack, if you used T25s instead of T20s. Which would mean you’d need only 80x T25s.
