    COPAQ v KEM v others

MOQ is usually 500-1000 per deck depending on manufacturer. Pretty much a pipe dream to hit those quantities given people's preferences of poker vs bridge, index size, color, etc.

Just noticed this comment regarding Bicycle Prestige. When did that change occur?

    Poker size

I love the poker size w/jumbo index for long, oval tables. It is easier to see and interpret the pips from the ends of the table. Some players have old eyes. For round tables with 6 or less players, I like the poker w/regular index. You are usually sitting a little closer together. Plus, I...

Is it normal for Kem Cards to cup like this?

I thought all DaVincis were PVC vs Cellulose Acetate. I think the only remaining Cellulose Acetate cards still in production are Kem and Angel. Guild claims they're Acetate but not Cellulose Acetate and reviews suggest they perform more like PVC.

Why would you prefer 43mm over 39mm for all chips in play?

It’s not something I’ve looked into as closely yet—still working on the card section. But I believe there are two major imperatives as far as bridge vs. poker. One is economic and driven by the casino industry which buys tens of thousands of decks per year per location. But another is a...

Piatnik 100% Plastic 2 versions. Difference?

Piatnik sells 2 different 100% plastic playing cards. What is the difference between the two? I know in these 2 examples one is bridge vs poker size. But is that all?

    Card size

Thoughts on poker size vs bridge size? I always use jumbo index for easy reading, but the bridge cards seem squirrely when shuffling.

    Plastic vs. Regular?

I agree 100% What I really thought was going to get some blowback was the fact that I think bullet cards are really good. I like them way better than Copag. I haven't played with Kems for probably 10 years or more I should get a deck. And I haven't pulled the trigger on faded spade yet. I have...

    faded spade 3.0 coming out

Yes, I am comparing the poker size. I don't have any Faded Spade bridge size. Maybe it's possible that poker vs. bridge accounts for some of the other differences too. Can anyone who has poker and bridge report if they see any differences?

I never critique cards based on fading because I’ve rarely used a deck long enough for them to fade - I rotate a lot of setups and get rid of them quickly. But I do have a setup of Copag exports and I do like them (despite their strong vinyl smell) so I have to ask about the fading. Has...

Piatnik 100% Plastic 2 versions. Difference?

In for many, many Bridge/Jumbo single index (as in OP) if you can get them. They used to also make dual (4) index (or what they call international index) which I have no interest in.

    Poker vs Bridge Size

Funny thing, I lost a good sized pot not long ago because I confused a spade and a club. But my solution was to either use decks with clearer suits or keep my reading glasses handy or both. But I swear I never even considered a 4-color setup and I happen to own a nice one. I just think...

Why would you prefer 43mm over 39mm for all chips in play?

Very cool, thanks for your answer. This is great info and I'd love to read the book eventually! One followup question, bringing up cards, don't we use bridge size in casinos for similar reasons? I relate the 39mm vs 43mm to bridge vs poker: none of my players play in casinos much, SO (I think...

Bridge vs Poker size? Jumbo vs Standard index? How many fracs are needed to cover a single table at .25/.50 ?
