I think it's a different meaning of sealing, not packaging.

The oil sealing process. There’s a distinct difference once the chips are oiled and “sealed” in my experience all though clay…they become more glossy/shiny and somewhat hardened on the edges. Let me see if I can find a picture to show ya!
