$10 NFL Survivor League (1 Viewer)

I’m putting together an NFL Survivor league on Yahoo, starting this week (NFL Week 5). You pick just one team a week….if that team wins, you advance; if that team loses, you are eliminated. You are not allowed to pick the same team more than once. I will determine the payouts when number of entrants are determined. I’m hoping to get 10 or more players.

I like survivor leagues because you don’t have to spend a lot of time studying players and you don’t have to worry about point spreads. Just pick a winner!

I forgot about this. I hate survivor leagues. I never ever never make it more than two weeks. I mean never.

How many people are in it?

6 have signed up as of right now....2 others said last nite they are for sure.....and there are about 4 others who said they would play.
I expect to end up with about a dozen.

I like the survivor over fantasy simply because I don't really have the time to spend on analyzing all the players and setting rosters each week. This at least gives a me a game to sweat. Low risk at just $10, I say!

I used to set my calendar around the Lions games. Shit, did this for 20 years. A few years ago I got fed up with them and was just done with them. The problems start and end with the ownership. They continue to make horrible front office decisions. Then they stick with those horrible decisions for entirely to long.

I took it to seriously. Week after week the Lions would find another creative way to lose the game. It was ruining (and wasting) my Sundays.

Now I watch whatever competitive game is on. Now that I have the ability to stream any game I want I just go back and forth with a few games that look to be fun.

I was watching the ATL game and the BALT game mostly.

If I do watch them, its only casually. I just don't care anymore. They have crushed my soul to many times.

Your coach is horrible and it was a horrible decision to hire him in the first place. Benching your starting QB isn't the solution, Stafford isn't the problem.

When Wayne Fontes is your best coach in the last 20 years that says something.............He at least got us to the playoffs a few times (we always lost horribly), but at least we were making it.

As long as you're done with them for good detroitdad. As someone who lives in Seattle I can tell you how amazing it is how many fans this team has now. Since the end of 2012 all you see around the Puget Sound area is Seahawk hats, shirts, stickers, flags, license plates, car wraps, and on and on and on. I can't imagine the millions of dollars spent on hawks gear around here the last few years and a good majority of people wearing it didn't own a thing Seahawks before 2012. I always find it funny when people say things like "I'm done, I don't even watch/pay attention/root for (insert team here) because they suck so bad...", yet I know exactly when I will see them again being a "fan". Watch, when the Mariners make the play offs for the first time in how many ever years it will be (it's been since 2001 I believe) I guarantee the amount of M's fans will triple... Not me, I say good or bad fly the flag, other wise don't come back.

Just saw this. I've been a fan since 91. They have sucked for the better part the last 25 years. Hell, Wayne Fontes was our only consistent playoff coach (couldn't win in the playoffs, but at least got us there by sweeping the December games). A few years ago I decided to just become a "casual" fan of the Lions instead of rooting for them with my heart and soul only to be disappointed on a weekly/season basis.

Now that I have the opportunity to watch all the games. I choose a few that are competitive match ups (or switch to games that are becoming competitive) and enjoy the game of football.

On to the Survivor pool. This is the absolute farthest I have ever made it in a Survivor style contest. Its been fun playing with you guys. I'm most likely picking NE on THUR. night. I'm sure Miami will destroy them, lol.

Our league ended last week. I got real lucky (thanks Detroit Lions!) and took 1st for $80. Detroitdad split 2nd place ($15 each) with my father-in-law.
