My first re-label project NYNY $1s to Empress $1s (1 Viewer)

I recently bought a new set from a great friend and fellow Chipper. It's an Empress cash set that features NYNY $1s. The seller had only relabeled 1 barrel. I bought the set with 260 NYNY $1s , so that left a small matter of 240 chips needing a label. So I have started.

The coolest thing about relabeling to me, is the fact I can do edge spot alignment. I like this. I've got a barrel done. 11 more to go..

How long does it take to relabel chips? I'm a bit of a perfectionist so I feel like I would be constantly scrutinizing the alignment.

I just finished 2 barrels in approximately 1.5hrs. that includes wiping each chip twice and drying and label application. Not too bad. My results are great. I have a few where the label maybe didn't go on 100%, but for the most part, if done with complete quiet at the poker table, easy peasy. It's alot fun. Im really feeling the hobby pump through my body with each chip I transform

I am doing an overlabel. These are @Gear labels. No wonder the results are so astounding.

Once he gets down to the last 9-10 chips he'll have to do just that if he wants to relabel them all, or else order a few more unlaminated labels from Gear.

Yes, you do! Nav's league games have been tons of fun, and keep getting better and better with each game! It would be great to see you there!

Saturday's game will be a bit different, I believe, as it is someone else's league structure, but Nav is a great host, so it will still be lots of fun.

My son is very well behaved, but yes, had to wait till he's asleep for these activities to happen.

I would be delighted to help you label Bart. It's also great beer drinking fun. I had a few beers and labels still went on centered. Maybe there is a limit to the beer and labeling combination before the labels are wasted. Haha..I'll try to reach that limit.

Looks great and Gear labels rock! It really does take a particular person to do the labels well and enjoy it at the same time. I'm not that person but I did love the final end result of my relabel project.

I think I was the first one to use the NYNY for Empress 1's, back in 2012 or 13...

I started with a close out sale and a few odds and ends from eBay...
Then selling and finding good deals added mint 5's
then added 130 NYNY..

It was a fun ride.. I miss them sometimes, but I am very happy with my Customs': THE MUSIC SHACK

I also can't really take any credit as I bought the set and was graciously offered the labels as a throw in. So testament to you or any others that have done this conversion.

I do love the results and I am having a fun time getting through it. 140/260 have been overlabeled!

i love these 5s. I have a well used empress set that they are my $5. The minty version are just stunning.
