We just had our first this summer, and I’ve also found myself downsizing my chip collection. It worth it, our son has brought a lot of joy to our life (and a lot of dirty diapers, sleepless nights, etc.)

My son is my greatest joy in every one of my days. I just got home from work and he's waiting behind the door for me long before I've even parked the truck. Amazing!

I LOVE my chips. All of them. I would snap give up EVERY last chip to get that feeling I get when I hear him behind the door, waiting for me getting excited.

Capture the moments too. They drift away like logs in the sea and you can never get them back. Treat each one like it's treasure.

Women here in Switzerland only get 14 weeks of maternity leave (which is funny, as there are no/very few daycares that accept children before 16 weeks here) and fathers get nada. It's a pretty ass-backwards country in that sense vs. countries like Canada - still a lot of traditionalists who think a woman's place is in the kitchen and the man should be the sole provider. There is a recommendation to change that though - so we'll see.

I'll take some time off in any case - fortunate that the due date is in the Summer, which coincides with the slowest time of year for us at work.
