I won’t do this set justice because I only have one barrel of $10s and I don’t have any $1s...Perhaps you should start one.

But I guess I will do my best to start one!
The bar will be low compared to @Changster ‘s images of 3000 mint chips!!
I've never had a single WTHC chip in my collection actually.
And I've never had any set with 3000 chips either... I wish I did! A 3000 chip hoard of ESPT's would be sick.
I was exaggerating a bit but I remember seeing your pictures once - You had stacks of chips at least 2 barrels high and your sets were still massive

Sorry for the confusion - I didn’t realize these were called classics until I joined PCF..Pretty sure he’s talking about Paulson Classics, not WTHC. The thread title is a little confusing.
I could be wrong though.

These were always Top Hat and Canes in my memory - I just don’t know what’s real anymore!!
Wooo!!!
I actually had a conversation with my girlfriend about this because she was the worst critic when I was trying to buy a set.I agree that the colours look fantastic!
However, the Paulson house mold is a bit of an eyesore, and the inlays aren't exactly exciting (though colourful).

She made a good point that the classics leave a more serious impression than some of the other ‘theme’ inlays.
She was saying - If you play with people from work or guys like [my dad] it’s better that we have a serious set..
I felt like that was useful feedback from her because she doesn’t see what we see.. to her, these are like curtains or home furniture or something..
I agree. But they do feel fantastic to handle and the spots really pop. My picture was a really poor representation of the colors. I was thinking of putting them on the classifieds, but there are so many amazing chips on the market right now at great prices. Also they are the only Paulson cash chips I own so I would definitely need to replace them with another Paulson setA vast improvement would have been simple: instead of "PAULSON CHIPS" on the rim, it should just have said "PAULSON". A nicer font would have helped as well. A consistent inlay background colour would also tie the whole thing together.
WTHC $5k but it isn’t like I have a chip library at my disposal - It’s basically all I haveSpeaking of classics, what do you guys owning sets use for 5k chips?
Custom plaques, of course.Speaking of classics, what do you guys owning sets use for 5k chips?
Love it!!!Not staged, but here you go.View attachment 361550
!!Matsui custom plaques group buy for classics?!?!

That $10 would make a great $5K and is completely unnecessary anyway.Speaking of classics, what do you guys owning sets use for 5k chips?
I can concede that I would prefer the suit mold over the Paulson Chips mold, but I cant say that I’d be willing to trade them for an RHC set..I have no problem with the colours. In fact, I think they are fantastic, and is the greatest strength of the chips series. But, and my opinion only, the colours themselves cannot carry the chip and make me overlook the previously stated "deficiencies". No question, I would take these over just about any plastic, china clay, or ceramic(-hybrid), but even the other Paulson fantasy chips are superior in almost every aspect.
