Things that make you Happy (3 Viewers)

Back at building blocks this morning I think we're making a jail for the animals? I asked him if it wanted to be a zoo instead and he said no

What made me happy. Last night Colleen and I hit one of our routine BBQ joints for dinner. Before we got to the bar, the bartender was asking me if I wanted an Old Forester "neat"............I love her

Early morning or late afternoon on the 1st tee

I love first tee every once in a while, it’s fun to be making the turn before 7am....but man one of my favorite things in life is teeing off around 6:30pm or so in the dog days of summer when it’s incredible out racing dark. teeing off on 18 with just a little less light than you need to see at about 9:45 or so is one way to spend a real nice evening. Miss it already.

But,

waking up to 3 1/2" inches of snow on October 29.

wait.

wrong thread.

sry.

It’s the correct thread for me. Snow hopefully is about to start falling in the cascades that will be the start of rideable snow cover until late May. Time to snowboard. :D ;)

:( Indeed. Sad on so many levels. Same gut punch as when I first heard about Alex trebek and his diagnosis. Life is so damn precious and I’m still seeing red some days because a car cuts me off in traffic. Crazy.

anyway, a few buddies and I were having a wax party last night (if you know you know ;) ) and we made a toast to a big reason we were doing what we were doing, and not ashamed to say a few of us got dust in our eye for a split second.

The new warren miller movie plays in our area next week and I heard from a guy at one of the shops that sponsors it that they are going to do something at the intermission for warren, wonder if they’ll add anything for burton. Could be tons of dust floating around.

RIPit in snow to both.

Decent human beings and the Michigan Humane Society for reuniting my brother with his dog that got on on Wednesday.

Our first dog got out while we were at church. She was gone for a month. Thank god I filed a report with the Humane Society. I received a phone call from them saying they were pretty sure that they had her. That was pretty cool.

My wife and I took our kids to a wreath laying ceremony at a local veterans graveyard. It was really powerful seeing tons of volunteers laying wreaths across a massive field. As each wreath is placed the name of the person interred is spoken aloud in rememberance.

We also had the opportunity to personally place a wreath on my wife’s grandfather’s grave. His was killed in action in North Korea on June 22, 1952 at 24 years old.

I wrote an article about him and his story a few years ago for those interested.

That was an incredible piece. I urge everyone to take the time to read it.

There are so many little inside jokes here, I can't even start. But I find it hilarious, so I'm adding it to the thread.
