Curious about this TRK tourney chip?? (1 Viewer)

@FordPickup92 and I recently picked this chip up with a couple TRK fracs. I have never seen a chip with an inside edge spot that doesn't extend to the face of the chip... I'm guessing some old school security feature but really have no clue. Thought is was worth sharing and curious are there others out there with this same feature? Any info is appropriated... fellow chipper Ben

Hmmmm...I have not.

Casinos sometimes mark chip edges with markers, which I assume is what they mean by side paint.

I think he was kidding...making reference to those who don’t realize the edgespots are actually part of the chip. However, in this case (although it is difficult to be sure since the photos are a bit dark and hard to see), it may, in fact, be paint or marker put on the chips when in barrels for some unknown reason.

Not a mistakes, here is another one that sold on eBay...

This one got sloppy and the green os on the face... I guess an attempt at security... still very interesting

I believe they actually are painted in this instance. I don’t have one personally but it seems to be the common accepted belief.

When it arrived it was quite dirty this is after cleaning and oiling... it is a bit raised when I run a knife over the top so possibly a paint marker of sometype? I believe you guys are correct... no idea why... pretty cool either way! Thanks for the help!!

It's paint. I've owned those at one time. Some of it cleans off, but not easily.
