I'm flying again to Vegas Sunday night... I should stay there a little less than a week...

My trips to Vegas usually come down to 90% poker / 9% restaurants / 1% sleep ... This time around though, I'll have my little brother with me... We usually see each other only once a year so it's kinda of a hang out trip... Chances are I'll have to spend less time playing poker since the whole purpose of the trip is to spend time with him, and let's just say he's not as fixated in poker as I am...

We're still gonna go to a few restaurants he wants to check out since that's his thing but I'm looking for fun shit to do while we're there... Things like golf, car racing, etc...

Any suggestions?

Last time we were there we did the mob museum. It was definitely cool, I think I was way to excited for it though and it didn't quite live up to what I had pictured it would be. I had to look up Top Golf to see if it was open yet, but it isn't open on the strip until 2016. You could never go wrong with a round of golf somewhere though...

The Gun Store
Pawn Stars shop

Haven't done any of these myself so I can't say whether or not they are fun/worth it.

Do they still do racing at the Speedway? My father-in-law did something like that for his birthday years ago and loved it.

spearmint rhino

If I had to bet who'd be the first one to suggest that, I'd probably have pick you man... Which is a good thing in my book ;)

I heard this was a blast if he is into guns.

EXACTLY the type of stuff I was looking for guys! :)

Recommended only if you are both sober and not hung over. Plan appropriately

That would definitely have to be planned appropriately ;)

Yep! I'm definetelly planning doing that Josh... It looks fun as hell... I hope I can just drive flat out ;)

You guys got the EXACT spirit of what I'm looking for! :D

Peppermill for breakfast.

I'm just putting that on my list for sure Mark...

Don't play the slots at the airport! In fact...don't do anything there.

And before you step out of the airport take a deep breath of air-conditioned air. Stepping into the oven winded me. Shockingly hot!

Where are you staying? We land Wed and stay for a week at the Flamingo. We should hook up.

That's awesome man!! I'm staying at the Wynn and playing at the Venetian... Let's hook up for sure man, even if for drinks...

Loved the recommendations! First one really intrigued me... I thought it would be more $, not bad... Less than the Nascar thing...

Don't miss Pinball Hall of Fame.

I'm a pinball junkie so that's right up my alley...

Thanks moose!

too lazy to read, add grand canyon and red rock reservation to the list if youre into outdoorsy stuff. also hoover dam

Oh yeah.....over by the hard rock casino is the KISS Wedding Chapel (and minigolf) awesome place to see. It's basically a KISS museum that does weddings. My niece got married there. It was the wedding I've ever been to. Some guy dressed like Paul Stanley was the ordained minister. F'n hilarious.

Are you renting a car? If so, I'll definitely hook you up with some great restaurants to hit up instead of the usual strip fare.
As far as golf, check out Desert Pines "all inclusive" package. For 99 bucks, its a helluva deal. Breakfast, drinks/snacks at the turn, and lunch included with your golf. Its a great track and the some of the best greens in Vegas.

Shows, including Penn and Teller. It's a pity that the Amazing Johnathan isn't performing any more...

Little more laid back than most of the other suggestions, but I would also recommend the Mob Museum, but even better is the Neon Museum if you're into Vegas history. Very cool places and you can get package tix. Do the Neon Museum after sundown, for obvious reasons. I also had a blast zip lining down Fremont Street. It's called Slotzilla - check it out on youtube. Helluva rush!

Ahh, I can't believe I forgot about suggesting that

The number of rare games to play is worth the side trip there. They also had the nicest playing AFM I have ever played when I went last year :D

I will be center strip Sat-Tue am, if you all are around Bally's/Paris look for me with 3 other guys, I'll buy you two a beer or other libation. I don't think we will make it down to Wynn/Venetian area this trip as the other three are more comfortable in mid level places. PM me if you want my cell, Monday I am trying to do a bloody mary crawl as we are in search of the best comp bloody mary since Bill's changed to Cromwell. Also, all those sound like fine suggestions, since my time is more limited, we'll be gamboling and drinking.

Might see ya there, if not, see ya at S@PIII

I wasn't planning on renting a car really... Can I get to those places by cab or r we talking small road trips? All those 'local gems' suggestions are VERY MUCH appreciated BPP!

I've been to quite a few shows there Larry but believe it or not, P&T is not one of them... That might be an option...

Hey Tim!! Man, maybe we could get a Bloody Mary together huh? ;)

Gambling and drinking (and eating) is what I'd like to do man... Gotta hang out with the brother though...

From a gambling perspective, we might just stay at the Venetian but we could hit the Aria as well... That's more center-strip... Shooting you a PM with my number...

For breakfast try Harries Bagelmania! It shouldn't be more than a few dollar cab ride, just make sure you call a cab for a ride back, not the best area.

For Italian, look up Roma Deli, great food all around and again should be a pretty cheap cab ride. If you're looking for the best pizza, however, try a place called Bambinos East Coast at Sahara and Durango....best pizza in vegas and a great family owned business.

The Golden Steer is a great steakhouse with lots of history. Been there for 60 or so years, check out the rat pack booth!

When I have a couple minutes I'll shoot you a PM with some more info on each of them

Awesome!! Thanks man... I'll try to check those places out...

Another vote for the Neon Museum. It is cool to see many of the old vegas signs and learn about some of the history. I did the day tour but it was in December so it was perfect outside.

Thanks Lars!

That's why I 'had' to ask for help here... I would have never think of the Neon Museum if not for you and PhilLaFond...

All I want to do now is go to the neon museum. Do they have signs that light up? I can't imagine being around all those tubes and not hearing the buuuuzzzzz... ;)

Seriously, I want to go, I had no idea such a place existed.

Some of them light up but you have to go for a night tour to see them as everything is outside. It really is cool. They have signs from many of the old Vegas casinos. I have a ton of pictures but I don't want to spoil it for you.
